This is an impressive structure to see up close. It stands 208 feet tall. It is made with 70 tons of stainless steel. It was built in 1965 as Christianity was celebrating 400 years. It is the largest cross in the western hemisphere. It is a testament to engineering as it has withstood every hurricane for over 60 years now. It is worth the visit. St. Augustine has so much to offer.
Beautiful and peaceful grounds for all Catholics to visit.
When Mom was alive, she walked these grounds. My sister and I revisit on mother's Day. The peacock and other birds were a treat
This is a shrine and I really liked walking thru it despite the excessive heat. There were shaded places.
La Leche is 10 out of 10 must see. This place grants miracles. I've had 3 of my own granted. The Our Lady of 7 Sorrows path is wonderful. The tangible rosary garden is spectacular. The Our Lady of La Leche chapel is beautiful. This is the first place mass was celebrated in america.
