As someone who was a bride at the Glass Factory, and PAID money to be a bride at this horribly run venue…it is ridiculous that my review was taken down because I’m trying to warn other brides by sharing my own experience. Such a RED FLAG! Prior to the wedding Andrea had such poor communication and there were changes with the venue offerings that were not shared with me until I asked for certain furniture but found they didn’t offer those items any more. Such another huge red flag on your end as a venue to not even reach out to me to discuss or apologize for your horrible venue manager, Andrea, for her behavior DURING my wedding at The Glass Factory. Within minutes of leaving the ceremony with my husband Andrea barges into the room about a problem with one of my guests. Andrea shared that my guest was unhappy that she was not let in for the ceremony when I in fact instructed all vendors to allow entry for guests during my ceremony but to leave them in the back inside of the venue near the entry door. My family friend missed the ENTIRE ceremony and Andrea was so loud and disruptive during my first alone time with my husband. RED FLAGS. I asked Andrea for her to apologize to my guest and she said no. My husband had to tell her she needed to leave the room because she was causing me so much anxiety and I was on the brink of tears because she was stressing me out so much. Attached you’ll find information sent from my coordinator to all vendors which included Andrea the venue manager for the Glass Factory in Jacksonville, FL. My wedding was in early March and the venue was fairly warm as well. Very unique venue but if I could do my wedding all over again, I wish I could have chosen a different venue due to my experience with Andrea and The Glass Factory. I beg you to never get married here!!!!
Review: The Velvet Underground Show If you’re looking for a night that’s way more exciting than your typical dinner and a movie, you need to check out The Velvet Underground Show. I went expecting something cool — but what I got was absolutely next-level. Right from the start, the energy in the room was electric. The vibe is a modern twist on a glamorous speakeasy, but this isn’t just about sipping cocktails and listening to jazz in the background. This show pulls you right into the heart of the action — performers are everywhere around you, and it’s impossible to look away. And let’s talk about the fire acts — wow. They’ve seriously turned up the heat this year, literally and figuratively. Between a Fire Aerialist who seemed to defy gravity, a Guinness World Record holder showing off insane skills, and a Cirque du Soleil performer adding jaw-dropping moments, it felt like every few minutes, something new was making me gasp or cheer. The costumes were dazzling, the live band was incredible, and the dancers and vocalists kept the energy high the entire time. It’s edgy, glamorous, a little bit wild — and completely unforgettable. At about 90 minutes, the show moves fast and never once drags. You’re constantly surrounded by the magic — it’s a full 360-degree experience that really makes you feel part of the underground world they’ve created. If you’re anywhere near Jacksonville and want a night that’s sexy, bold, and completely unique, don’t miss this show. The Velvet Underground delivers a sensory explosion you won’t stop talking about.
If you’re looking for a unique event space at a great value please book The Glass Factory! The manager, Clay, is super friendly, helpful and supportive in ensuring your event goes seamlessly. We had our wedding here last month and he answered all of our questions, allowed us to visit the venue numerous times and provided great advice/recommendations that made our day amazing. I enjoyed the flexibility of using vendors of my choice that allowed us to make the big, beautiful space our own. If you’re having an event here, you’ll need to hire professional parking staff. We felt safe the entire time and had no complaints for our 250+ guests. We highly recommend The Glass Factory!
My daughter's Pre-K Program decided to make this the place where they hosted her family dance. It was really nice inside. My only issue was that it was soooooo hot in there with only one fan. I mean it's originally a glass factory, I just don't think it was a great place to host a kids dance. I don't quite like the area that it is in either. Maybe I'm just being a little too picky but my other older kids did not feel comfortable in the area. The parking was pretty crowded as well. Other than that, it was fun for my Pre-K student.
LOVED getting to shoot this romantic session at The Glass Factory! Clay was super easy to talk to, and provided an experience that was tailored to meet our needs. The blank canvas aspect really allowed us to get creative, and we had WAY too much fun exploring this venue! This is the perfect space for couples who are going for a historic/industrial vibe.
