I’m truly thankful for the journey and growth I have experienced while working out at The Garage. Every challenge has helped me become stronger, wiser, and more determined. Kris is an incredible trainer and coach. She is a master at meeting you where you are at and challenging you to be better every single day. The Garage is just as special as she is, it’s not just a gym, it’s a community of non judgmental and fun people who are all there to work on self improvement. If you’re looking for a lifestyle change, start here. It’s not easy but it’s always worth it. My life is 1000x better with Kris as a coach than it was before I found her.
Kris and the Garage Family are absolutely amazing! Not only does she know what she’s doing, she holds you accountable for showing up and doing the work. If you’re not there when you say you will be, she’s messaging you! In one year’s time, I personally have lost over 25lbs and gained so much strength; all thanks to Kris. The Garage is truly a family friendly gym! The kids room in the back is set up with toys, a tv, and Disney+. My kiddos are welcomed with open arms and loved by everyone; especially Kris 💗
Didn’t have the best experience at this gym. If you’re not experienced, this is not the gym for you. There was a little guidance when it came to learning form, which caused me to have multiple injuries Including tearing my meniscus. I paid for personal training sessions that ended up getting taken from me and not refunded after I put in my notice to end my contract. When I tried to schedule my training sessions, I was always told she had to check with the other girls first to see what days they wanted (her friends) And I would have to schedule around the leftovers. Once I made my decision to quit the gym The trainer/owner was so disrespectful and rude. I personally paid for a water cooler at the gym for the ENTIRE gym, because there was NO WATER in a gym. When I quit the gym, I asked to pick up The water cooler since I was paying for it and the owner was so rude, She threw it outside on the sidewalk. Even though I asked her politely not to in fears it would get stolen or ruined. Very clicky Gym!!! Felt like I was constantly being judged like I was in high school, and so much drama that you would have to listen to while working out. If you don’t hang out with the owner/trainer, You hardly get any attention. There was plenty of times when I would make PR and ask why I wasn’t up on the board and I Get told it was because the board was getting taken down. A year later the board was still up. Plenty of times I asked for before and after pictures (which should be standard) only to find out the day they had pictures after class no one had asked me to participate (I was upset). It was also very hard to work out because there there are children running EVERYWHERE . Not super safe to be trying to lift heavyweight with toddlers running under your bar. There was plenty of times the kids got injuries because they would get hit with weights. I work out with a professional now, and it is a world of difference. Definitely spending my money where it’s appreciated and that was not at this gym.
The garage, and Kristen, are so amazing. It's truly amazing how much she cares and roots for you. The entire gym is a family atmosphere and the perfect place to test your limits with an entire group of people routing you on!
