The Butt Hutt Smokehouse

Absolutely amazing bbq. The ribs were insane! The brisket was really good. Their cornbread is cooked inside the smoker and was delicious. My kids enjoyed their pulled pork sandwiches and baked beans. My wife said the Jerk chicken sandwich was lights out good. Looking forward to trying more things on the next trip.

Okay… this isn’t a review, it’s a full love letter 😭🔥 I went to Butt Hutt Smokehouse yesterday and wow. From the moment you walk in, the smell alone already tells you you’re about to be very happy. This is real BBQ, slow-cooked, full of flavor, no shortcuts. The meats? Next level. Juicy, perfectly smoked, rich in that deep, comforting flavor you don’t forget. But honestly, the sides deserve their own spotlight, they’re not just “extras,” they’re part of the experience and they were ridiculously good. The vibe is super chill, no pretentious energy at all, just great food and personality. The kind of place where you eat amazing food without trying too hard, but leave already planning your next visit. If you’re in Jacksonville, don’t miss the chance!

Honestly, the Ribs were VERY bland. The wall said “Florida Style” Ribs and but that was NOT what I tasted. The Florida Ribs I’ve tasted don’t need sauce and have some type of flavor or taste that’s worth it. The Ribs were actually fresh from the smoker too and although it LOOKED good, the taste wasn’t there. I didn’t taste any of the ingredients listed on the wall I saw in the establishment that said “Florida Ribs”. Not sure if the prep wasn’t good or the recipe was off, but the ribs had NO TASTE. Florida Ribs don’t taste like that….. The bacon was fire. I’d recommend that. And the greens were good.
