The Blue Hen Café

We were looking for a local place to grab brunch to end our trip(9/6/2026) and found this spot. The food was excellent and big portions as well. Very satisfied with out overall experience. Wanted to give a huge should out to our waitress but I don't remember her name, I remember she had a big shell necklace on! She was so sweet, kept all of our glasses full and provided phenomenal customer service!

We live in Idaho, but every time we’re in town visiting my son at Flagler, this is our first stop. Everything is consistently delicious. I’m obsessed with the iced coffee poured over coffee cubes, and the homemade biscuits are perfection. As foodies, we’re picky, and this place never misses. Highly recommend.

The Blue Hen was a cute little mom and pop breakfast and lunch restaurant. Loved the 70’s mugs. Service was friendly. Food was typical of this type of establishment nothing to write home about. Toast came out burnt. They do have Gluten Free bread which I enjoyed. FYI: They do not make poached eggs. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pics of the food.

We had an outstanding brunch here! We come to st Augustine about once every 8 weeks and this is by far the best brunch that we've had here. They have a really intriguing beer selection The presentation of the food is beautifully presented and most importantly the taste of the food is incredible. The staff was very friendly. Claire our server was friendly and attentive. I want to mention that we also had the fried green tomatoes ( not pictured ) and they're the best I've ever had outside of my Grandmother of course.
