Follow the yellow door on West King! Had a chance to try out 3rd Wave Coffee Roasters today and loved it! Really neat and intimate set-up where you can expect to enjoy coffee and conversation with Jared, who will cook up anything your heart desires and spin a few tales. They have done such a good job of making the shop a welcoming spot--color choices and branding are all really sharp, not to mention live plants! I sampled the Kenyan drip, a latte, and some exotic coffee-over-ice situation that is too complicated for me to understand. All were excellent. Make it a point to check them out.

Finally made it into our quaint local roaster, and I’m really glad we did. Third Wave Roasters has done a great job creating a relaxed, welcoming vibe. Jared, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable and clearly passionate about coffee. He also enjoys sharing his knowledge and talking about the craft, which makes the experience even better. I had the Burundi pour-over, and it was excellent. It had a crisp, sparkling acidity with a clean, dynamic finish. You can tell they really care about the coffee and how it’s prepared. My wife had an iced latte with Jared’s vanilla syrup. Really tasty and flavorful without being overly sweet. West King Street is really becoming a one-stop shop for all things craft and entertainment, with a coffee roaster, distillery, brewery, and restaurants all right here in the neighborhood. We’re lucky to have so much going on, and I’m especially glad Third Wave is just down the street from us. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in St. Augustine and appreciate good coffee!
Jared and Ashley are great people. I came in to buy some beans, first time in and from out of town. Jared took the time to describe his products and helped me pick some beans. Then offered me a sizable sample of his Norberto blend. The Norberto blend is very nice. I pulled it through a Breville and made a few Americanos. Excellent. I purchased the Velvet Wave but haven't tried it yet, it's too fresh as of this review. I'm expecting a great brew from it. Thanks Jared and Ashley!!! 3/29/26 edit: Okay, I tried and finished the Velvet Wave, Excellent beans and roast! Gotta get through some South Carolina beans (subpar after the Velvet Wave but waste not want not) and once gone, I'm most likely going to be shipping some VW here to Michigan!
Amazing and intentional family owned local business. Best coffee in Saint Augustine! The maple rosemary latte is wonderful- all syrups are made in house.
Amazing Organic coffee. The barista/owner is amazing and so friendly.. worth to stop by if you are just visiting town or if you want a good expreso
