Incredible Brisket and Top-Tier Drinks! If you are looking for amazing BBQ in Jacksonville, The Bearded Pig is an absolute must-visit. They have a plentiful menu with tons of fantastic options to choose from. The setup here is fast-casual style; you order your meal directly from the counter, and then the staff brings it right out to your seat. Because it is such a popular spot, the seating can get a little tight right at peak meal times. However, if you make it a point to come early, there is usually great bar space available to claim. The food itself is out of this world. The brisket was especially good—perfectly smoked, incredibly flavorful, and just melted in your mouth. To top it all off, the drinks were all made well, super refreshing, and paired perfectly with the heavy BBQ. This place easily earns a full five stars, and we will definitely be back for more!
Holy cow! *skewed pun intended* I stopped here because I was driving from Charlotte to Miami and I asked Google to find me a family-owned restaurant of high-quality in between the two locations, and Google knocked it out of the park. This place looks practically brand new, but it's been here for almost 10 years. It makes a great first impression. Very quickly following, when you start speaking with the staff, you realize that they're all really very good at what they do and they care about your experience. Speaking of experience, the whole experience was excellent. The staff is so nice and knowledgeable. They make you feel 100% at home. I ended up ordering a Dogrose Rhapsody in Red beer and a Kings sandwich. The beer is a great tasting ale with a hearty malt taste and is super easy to drink. The sandwich has brisket, pork, Azar sausage, jalapeno poppers, slaw, & cheese sauce. It is sublime, you would think it would be a confusing mix, but none of the flavors overpowers the others, they actually enhance and amplify. Also, you usually get portions that are way too big to finish, but this sandwich was literally perfect - at least for me. If you happen to be here when Ashley is on, sit at the bar to eat. She's a joy to speak with and completes the experience. Hospitality LIVES here!
This was good! I'm from NC so my BBQ taste is very, unique. But this wasn't bad. I really enjoyed the prices and the service that we had including the guy who took care of our table. Bald headed guy who was really cool. I recommend this location.
Some of the best food, and definitely the best BBQ, we’ve ever had. San Marco platter at $36 easily feeds 2-3. We came back again just for the brisket it was that good - thank god we did because the collard greens are to die for. Skin on delicious fries, an array of sauces that are all amazing. We could not recommend anywhere more than here - there’s a reason they’re on the Michelin food guide.
Customer service was excellent but the food was lacking. The flavor of the meat was mid (ribs, chicken, sausage) and definitelyneed the added bbq sauces, but the brisket was very delicious. The sides are not your traditional sides... I knew this when I ordered.... I really didn't care for the taste of them. The stuffed jalapeño was excellent.
