Tonight I had dinner at Taqueria Cinco, and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be. This cozy little “hole in the wall” was packed for Taco Tuesday, which is always a good sign. It was raining outside, and since I was dining alone, the manager kindly offered me a seat on the covered back patio. He even brought out a beautiful serape for my chair, turning a rainy evening into a comfortable and memorable dining experience. I was then greeted by one of the friendliest waitresses I’ve encountered in a long time, Amirah. After learning it was my first visit, she took the time to walk me through the menu, explain the specials, and recommend a drink. Her hospitality made me feel less like a customer and more like a welcomed guest. I started with the chips and guacamole, which were fresh and flavorful. For dinner, I took advantage of the Taco Tuesday specials and ordered the Chicken Tinga taco and a Veggie taco. Both were beautifully presented, generously sized, and packed with flavor. Every bite was fresh, creative, and delicious. Between the attentive service, vibrant atmosphere, unique patio setting, excellent food, and great drinks, this turned out to be an outstanding last-minute dinner choice. A special thank you to Amirah and the entire team at Taqueria Cinco for making a solo rainy evening feel like a private dining experience. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for authentic flavors, great hospitality, and a memorable dining experience. 🌮🍹 Excellent service, atmosphere, food, and drinks. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Tacos & Top-Tier Service! If you are looking for absolute taco perfection in the Jacksonville area, look no further than Taqueria Cinco. I stopped in and had the tacos al pastor, and they blew me away. The meat was perfectly seasoned, incredibly flavorful, and executed exactly the way authentic al pastor should be. Honestly, these are easily some of the absolute best tacos I have found across the entire Jax food scene. But it’s not just about the incredible food—the service here is just as stellar. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and brings an awesome energy to the place that makes you feel right at home the second you walk through the door. Between the top-tier flavors and the great hospitality, Taqueria Cinco hits a home run. I’ll definitely be hitting this spot up regularly. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and check them out!
Very cool atmosphere with unique authentic Mexican. Unique adult drinks and even some non alcoholic ones like aqua fresca which was amazing. Al Pastor taco was my favorite (served fri-sun) and the queso on special was fantastic. Couldn't fit dessert so I ordered the churros to go...cause why not?! Will definitely be back.
stopped by Taqueria 5 and had a great experience. The chicken tinga taco was full of flavor with just the right amount of spice, and the carnitas taco was perfectly tender and juicy. I also tried the ribeye quesadilla — super rich, cheesy, and definitely a standout. The people were really nice and made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Some of the best Mexican food in town. It was one of the only places that reminds me of the quality in Texas. Their suadero and chorizo tacos are great, and the portions are very large. You have to get their desserts too!
