IF I COULD LEAVE 0 STARS I WOULD! TA TRUCK SERVICES: Extreme Unprofessional Conduct, and Poor Management at TA Fleet Service Last weekend, after driving three hours to Jacksonville to purchase a tow truck, we noticed low pressure in the rear tires on the way back. Unable to inflate them ourselves, we pulled into TA Fleet Service at 2:45 PM on Sunday to request assistance with remounting the tire. Upon arrival, we were informed there would be a two-hour wait due to our walk-in status. We understood the delay and waited patiently in our vehicle. At 5:00 PM, we checked in and were directed to pull around to the back bay. We then waited outside in the rain for an additional 30 minutes. When I inquired inside about the remaining wait time—explaining that we were unfamiliar with the newly purchased truck and wanted to avoid driving in the dark during severe weather—an employee informed me that only one technician was on duty because the facility struggles to retain staff.(I wonder..) Despite the short staffing, a young technician kindly agreed to assist us. He raised the truck, removed the tires, and began working around 6:00 PM. He was exceptionally hard-working, polite, and persistent in trying to clean the rim and mount the tire. However, he was forced to work completely unassisted. Because he was attempting to set the bead alone using a large air tank and an air chuck simultaneously, he was struggling with the angle required to properly catch the bead. During this time, the on-duty "manager" exhibited severe hostility and unprofessional behavior: * Lack of Support & Safety Violations: Rather than assisting the struggling technician, the manager walked around the shop actively smoking cigarettes and engaging in personal phone calls. * Unprofessional Interactions: When the technician tried to work, the "manager" repeatedly interrupted him, holding her phone out and demanding he speak to the off-site "manager" that was in the phone. When my husband—an ASE Master Mechanic who also owns an auto repair shop—explained that the tire was not leaking air but simply needed the bead set properly, the manager became argumentative and aggressively saying she is also a ase master mechanic ( which you can easily tell is not true) shook her phone in his face multiple times tell him he could talk to her "manager" on the phone. My husband said ma'am I'm not here to argue I would just like my tire mounted so I can drive 3 more hours home. * Dismissive & Rude Service: When another customer asked basic questions about semi-truck repairs, the manager answered him dismissively with a cigarett in one hand phone to ear "we gotta charge you" he said what if I take it off for you, she said "You can do whatever you want, but you still gotta wait." * Avoidable Delays: The manager insisted the tire was damaged over a minor cosmetic indentation on the lip (which was not on the bead) and refused to let the technician continue. She ordered a replacement tire, which took hours to arrive. The replacement tire arrived around 12:30 AM. After further delays with a second technician who was unable to mount the tire, the original young technician stepped in, successfully mounted the new tire, and secured it to the truck. We did not leave the facility until approximately 2:00 AM on Monday—over 12 hours after our initial arrival—resulting in a $580 charge and an entire night lost to preventable delays. While the young technician deserves praise for his work ethic and dedication under hostile conditions, the conduct of the manager was unacceptable. Her unprofessional demeanor, failure to support her staff, smoking inside the service area, and argumentative handling of customers reflect extremely poorly on your brand. It is entirely clear why this location experiences high employee turnover. As business owners ourselves we would never treat customers in distress with such disregard.I strongly urge regional management to investigate the leadership at this location and take corrective action. She has a neck full of tattoos a cigarette in one hand phone in another.
Don't let CARB compliance slow you down. The Clean Truck Check requirements are here, and non-compliance can mean registration holds or heavy fines. At Fast Clean Truck Check, we make it easy. We’ll get you tested and back on the road in no time.
Easy access. They had all diesel fuel lanes closed. Would not answer for how long. Left and traveled north to a Loves to buy fuel
Went in for a PM service yesterday, it was probably the best PM service I've ever received. Richard was AWESOME! This guy got down on his knees to guide me into the bay to make sure that I didn’t pop a tire… which has never happened in all my years as an Owner Operator. He also took the time to HIT EVERY GREASE PORT! WOW! The guy was super nice and cared about his job! I appreciate mechanics like this guy. Thank you, Richard.
Very bad place because all the drivers parking in the fuel pump you have to wait one hours to get fuel
