  String Sports Brewery is, at first glance, a brewery. But spend a few minutes inside and you’ll realize it’s also a quiet tribute to basketball culture, local loyalty, and unexpectedly onion ring excellence. I arrived unaware of its history, but the owner’s love for basketball is unmistakable, and the locals reflect that same devotion... not just to the sport, but to the space itself. There’s an ease here, a sense that people aren’t just passing through. I took a seat at the bar, did what one does in such environments, and ordered an IPA. It was solid... confident, balanced, exactly what you’d hope for. But then came the onion rings, which I ordered based on a subtle but unmistakable social cue: everyone else seemed to be eating them. Reader, they were correct. These were not mere onion rings. These were structurally sound, texturally precise, and philosophically complete. Large, fully cooked onions, no trace of that unpleasant raw bite, encased in a crisp, golden coating that somehow maintained its integrity from first bite to last.
