At my first appointment I was handed the brochure of the Eye faculty at FES and chose Dr Steven Maier to be my surgeon chiefly because of his service background. What followed was a truly gratifying experience with cataract surgery on both eyes and recovery of 20/20 vision; truly the work of gifted hands and awesome all-round staff in the clinic and at the Surgery Center! Everyone there is very professional, kind and helpful. They get you back to your appointment pretty efficiently. My only complaint is that it takes a long time to actually see the eye doctor.

I had an urgent need to get my eyelid treated for a swollen upper lid. It had been bothering me for months. I got in to see the doctor the same day, and he was able to lance it and drain it without any significant pain whatsoever. Dr. Maier solved a three month problem of mine in 15 minutes! He is excellent and I can’t thank him enough.
