St. Johns Reading Room

Finding St. John’s Reading Room was such a blessing for our family! My son has special needs, including severe dyslexia, but we were not aware of his dyslexia until he was much older. When we started the program, he was fifteen years old and reading on a kindergarten level. We worked with Mike who is extremely patient and caring, and allowed for my son to progress through the program at his own pace, which was a little bit slower than the average student. At the end of the program, my son was reading on a second grade level and now has the tools that he needs to continue his progress in reading. Mike has given him such confidence! We are so grateful to Mike and Emily!

St. Johns Reading Room is Amazing! My daughter loves coming here and I love bringing her. My daughter had some reading gaps and they have been doing a wonderful job teaching her the areas of reading and Phonics that I missed at home. My family has been telling me that they noticed how much she has progressed. Fantastic program and I'm so thankful because it helps me so much being that my daughter is home schooled. We highly recommend Reading Room! We had a clinical psychologist (Dr Lisa Blum) analyze our daughter and found she had dyslexia. Our daughter had scraped by but was never confident in her reading or grammar abilities. She is about to finish the RR program and tells us all the time how much more confident she is in her schoolwork. They were also key in helping us understand how to coordinate with the school to get our child some much needed adaptations for her learning. Emily and Mrs. Pam were wonderful for our child. We recommend the program to any child of any age who is struggling with reading or learning disability!

My daughter was in third grade and struggled to read anything. Mrs. Emily and the St John’s Reading Room have been an amazing help. They walk you through everything in order to help your child as well as working with the children to make sure they are engaging and fully competent in a lesson before moving on! I cannot say enough good things; my daughter is now more confident in her reading and writing abilities.
