Jeff and his team are very knowledgeable and professional. He worked on my car in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone who is looking for an honest and efficient job.
Absolutely the best experience I've ever had with an auto repair shop . Took my mother's car their to figure out where a water leak was coming from. Had the issue resolved and the car back in few hours. The great customer service and pricing will definitely have me coming back.
These guys are on their game in their profession. Jeff took on the challenge of rebuilding a 1967 CJ Jeep that would not even run when first taken to him... They did and amazing job in bring this vehicle back to life... Thanks to all involved at St. Augustine Auto Repair... We highly recommend your services.
I had a very frustrating and expensive experience with St. Augustine Auto Repair. I brought in my 2016 Jeep Renegade and clearly explained that a code had come up indicating a potential ECU issue right before the vehicle started running poorly. Despite sharing this upfront, they kept my vehicle for 24 hours and then told me the problem was spark plugs and a radiator fan. I questioned both diagnoses. The spark plugs had been in the vehicle for over two years with no issues, and I explained again that the code pointed to the ECU. I also questioned how they concluded the vehicle was overheating, and suggested it could be related to the ECU malfunction. Still, they insisted these repairs would fix the problem. I approved the work based on their professional recommendation. After 72 hours, the vehicle was still running poorly. At that point, they told me it “could be the ECU” or possibly an oil-related issue. I had already recently changed the oil, which ruled that out. I paid $ 987.00 for repairs that did not fix the problem. I then took the vehicle to Hanna Chrysler Dodge Jeep, where within 24 hours they confirmed the issue was the ECU — exactly what I had originally explained. They also questioned why the spark plugs were replaced, noting they were previously installed by the dealership. I paid an additional $1,115 to have the ECU replaced, and the vehicle has been running fine ever since. When we contacted St. Augustine Auto Repair again, they acknowledged our concerns but stated that was simply what they “thought” the issue was. In my experience, this shop replaced parts without properly diagnosing the problem. I would not recommend them if you want accurate diagnostics or to avoid unnecessary repairs.
The staff at St Augustine Auto Repair are total saints and I can't recommend this business highly enough. My dashboard warning lights all suddenly went off late in the afternoon. I was supposed to leave St Augustine early the next morning to drive 16 hours home from vacation. Even though they were about to close, the guys offered to stay late ON A FRIDAY to get my car fixed so I could get home safely. I really didn't expect them to do that, and I am extremely grateful for their kind help. The service was fast and thorough. Extremely professional, honest employees. They did fantastic work on my car. If I lived in St Augustine, I'd be a customer for life!
