Mr. Ceviche in Jacksonville truly impressed me with every dish and the outstanding service. As a frequent traveler, I always make it a point to try Peruvian food wherever I go. Ceviche is one of those dishes that many restaurants prepare, but only a few capture its authentic Peruvian flavor. The tallarines verdes and the seafood rice were absolutely top-notch. Every bite tasted fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Highly recommended! If you’re visiting Jacksonville, this should be your first stop for authentic Peruvian cuisine. 🇵🇪✨
Great place. My wife had Ceviche and loved it, I had the churrasco a lo pobre. Wow, very tender. The wait staff were great. The music was salsa music at the right volume, you could hear it clearly but it wasn’t distracting or invasive. Food came out super quickly. Just a great experience. We had picked a place to celebrate and we picked the right place!
Sr. Ceviche had been on my list for a while, and it definitely lived up to the hype. We started with the Trio Achaufado, which is perfect for a first visit. It comes with Chaufa de Pollo, Ceviche Clásico, and Papa a la Huancaína, making it an easy way to sample a few Peruvian favorites in one order. The Ceviche Criollo ended up being my favorite dish. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the creamy yellow pepper sauce added just the right amount of richness without taking away from the bright citrus flavors. I also ordered the Tallarines Verdes con Churrasco, and the pesto pasta paired perfectly with the juicy, tender skirt steak. Beautiful presentation, generous portions, and friendly service made this an easy recommendation. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu. We visited on a Wednesday afternoon and were seated right away. The restaurant was bright, clean, and had a relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to enjoy a leisurely lunch.
This place is the real deal. Probably the best Peruvian ceviche in Jacksonville. This is my second time here, came with a coworker for lunch and decided to get one of their lunch specials, trio Marino, she got the pollo salteado and a mixed ceviche to share. The trio was delicious, it had seafood chaufa, their classic fish ceviche and fried calamari. I could have eaten full-size orders of each but alas my wallet could not 😅 the waiter was very nice, I lowkey felt bad because I kept switching between Spanish and English but he was very sweet. The place was pretty empty which was great for us because everything came out super quick. Next time I really want to try the octopus! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Peruvian food!
The food was good but the soup (chupe de pescado) was too salty when we mentioned to the employee he said “that it was better that having no flavor.” The arroz con marisco was really Good it had good flavor but the rice was too wet and some rices were under cook. The chaufa carne y pollo had good flavor but meats to over cook to hard. We order coke products for drinks I was expecting fountain sodas (unlimited) but no they bring the cans. The place was recommended by a friend. But in my case it will be a place that only once I will go. Is kind of pricey, the food portion were good size. The soup was bigger but the no attention of the food (salty. Undercook. Overcook ) make it a 3 stars. Saddest part is that we are not picky eaters.
