We cannot recommend this enough! Katy and Jose are so passionate about what they do and the kids absolutely loved it. So interactive and educational, if you have an hour and want to learn more about the history whilst being thoroughly entertained - this is the place! Also - VERY reasonably priced.
We were here on a recent trip and enjoyed our visit here. My in-laws both have experience within the medical field so it was interesting for them to hear the historical presentation and see some of these instruments up close. The guide was very informative and kind. I personally loved the apothecary section - which has a free leaflet with the most commonly used medicinal herbs and how they were used. The only downside to this tour was that my 7 year old was bored to tears. I wish there would have been a bit more engagement for younger audiences as a lot of families come through to visit the city. The pricing was a bit high, but we found it worth it for the history lesson alone. The presentation was very rich with information and highly educational.
I liked the museum because our young guide was so good. She was engaging and answered our questions. It takes about 30 min. and you can sit for the main part of the presentation. It is not for young kids in the fact that it is not hands on. They gave us an herb guide, but it would have been nice if they had most of those herbs growing outside in their garden. I purchased a few a soap and location in their gift shop. Love them. Tours run every half hour.
Awesome tour! Jose was very knowledgeable on historic events and medical procedures. He involves the group and relates history to modern medicine/ professions. The owner is also very kind and shared with us the history of the building . For anyone in the medial field this tour is extra interesting. Definitely recommend adding this place to your list.
Savanna was absolutely wonderful and so knowledgeable. She was thorough in her explanations and made the whole experience amazing
