Soul Food Bistro

This is definitely the soul food spot to hit if you are in Jax FL. Food was very tasty but the service people behind the counter wasn't pleasant. One lady acted as if we were getting on her nerves because we were asking questions, since this was our first time there. We did not know how to order, and the menu on the wall is very confusing. There are no paper menus to view and the building is old. This is a buffet style restaurant where you go down the line, and they put your selections in a foam container for you. The drinks are you standard fountain drinks, which were not great. However, the food was delicious! Everything we ordered was pretty much spot on. Definitely will go back when in the area, now that I know what to expect. Thanks!

Food and service are amazing! Best soul food in town hands down. Any time my family comes to visit- we eat here. You can get a full meal of fried chicken, fountain drink, cornbread, and two sides for a total of $13. Amazing price, especially in this economy. Usually, I make one meal turn into two because they give you so much. Only complaint is the place could use a decor update. The ceiling and walls are dark orange and red and it makes the place very dim inside. It could use a bit of brighter color in there to make it feel more spacious and open!

The place was awesome.. food was great. Definitely suggest trying them .

Can someone please but the older lady out her misery. she obviously don’t want to work the front we’re the customers are. I don’t know maybe giving bad service is her job. If it is she doing a good job. But that nasty face and attitude will have me not recommending the place Food was ight.
