I trusted Google and was failed, I walked in, walked out to check the sign, and walked back in to verify if I was at the right spot. I was advertised soul food and it really was just a Chinese food shop in disguise, I didnt want to risk it and get whatever they thought soulfood is, so I ordered shrimp fried rice and Mac and cheese on the side (just to test the waters a little bit). I was extremely dissapointed, I didnt have much faith in the mac as the store isnt black owned or operated in any capacity, but the shrimp fried rice was also terrible?? Freezer burnt veggies, unseasoned shrimp, and the fried rice was just burn and clumpy yellow rice. $21 terribly spent, would never recommend.
Flounder platter with collards and cabbage amazing. Fried perfect and seasoned perfect (not salty, just flavor). First time ordering from here, won't be the last. Now I'm hooked, cooked perfect. Also had 2 wings to try, also perfectly cooked and seasoned. I cook a lot, so it's hard to find places where people really cook, when you don't feel like it. Thanks and keep up the great work guys!!!? Huge portions as well 👏🏾
10 out of 10! The portions are good and seasoned to perfection. Really came in clutch as I'm from out of town due to my daughter being in the ICU in the hospital and this place has really been a comfort food spot for myself and my daughter even wanted her own bowl of Mac n cheese lol. Thanks for making this food with love. You have a customer for life.
Best macaroni salad besides my mom's homemade fried pork chops are usually fresh hot and tender. Ribs are the best I have had in jacksonville
I ordered via doordash, but this is so good I had to come give a Google review! want to know who grandma in the kitchen cooking?? This is true soul food!! I ordered the Pork Chop Platte, with collards and mac n cheese. omg the flavor and seasoning is amazing!! The collards season well and not over cooked. the mac and cheese very delicious and not dried out. but the Pork Chops,amazing flavors,tinder and delicious. I would highly recommend this place!!
