We walked in to Solano Cycle to rent 4 scooters for four 18 year old guys from Iowa. Alyssa was the only employee on site so was handling calls, rentals, and returns all by herself. She was amazing! She was great with the guys explaining the dos and don’ts so that would be safe. Such a fun way to see Saint Augustine.
I took my 2x4 ATV in for repairs due to a starting issue. It did take several days for the repair to happen because they are also a rental source for scooters and it is peak season for tourism. Regardless, their friendly mechanic, Elvis, identified the problem after a thorough inspection. He also found a blown fuse in the lighting system. I had also requested an additional service that he checked, but found it to be unnecessary. I appreciated the honesty! The repair cost was much less than I expected, so that was a great surprise! Not only that, but they were recommended by another mechanic who could not obtain parts for my off-brand ATV. Thank you Elvis! You delivered what you promised.
Excellent experience! I took in my son's electric scooter to get a tube replaced expecting to drop it off and come back for pick-up at a later time. They were super welcoming, helped me get the scooter out of the car, and fixed it in under fifteen minutes. Park in the back parking lot and walk around to the front door. We will definitely be back!
The only place I will rent from in St Augustine. The staff is great, they are very patient, also great instructors when it comes to helping you get your bearings driving unfamiliar vehicles for the first time. Part of why my trip to St Augustine was so successful and FUN is because of Solano Cycle.
Booked an E-Bike rental online for my week here in St Augustine, scheduled for 10am pickup, I arrived at 10am, store was still closed “first red flag”, I waited and a man pulled into lot around 10:15am through on a shirt and walked in, I went in and spoke to the man stating I have a 10am rental e-bike to pickup and he states there is a problem, they sold there last rental bike!!! Well when I booked online and paid for the rental it stated there was 2 available? I was then told that the bike featured online for rent is not even the one they were renting, me being a larger man I am looking for a bike with a large weight capacity, he then says he can sell me one of the bikes they have or order the one I want, I am only visiting for a week so that’s not an option, from a business owner to another this is an awful way to run a business, lack of organization and proper management in a company allowing for bad reviews is not a good way to keep a small business alive, overall extremely disappointed in this business and I would not recommend anyone to do business with them.
