Hey So Freshhhhh… Overall the specific food in the bowl was yummy, but giving a half cup of sauce for the whole bowl… man, no one likes a dry bowl…then to ‘top it off’ the sauce was shellacked over, as if it was old and had been prepared and wasn’t thrown out after it should’ve been. I hate to be the person who complains over sauce.. but when you’re getting a salad bowl and it’s dry, you don’t want to even eat it. So although I tasted the bowl, it was too dry to enjoy. Hopefully management really considers this, because the sauces make the whole bowl. (Or at least when you get the proper amount and it’s not out of date and edible.)
I was trying to find a place for healthy lunches and originally stopped by Homespun Kitchen with the intention of eating there but it was so hard to find parking that I ended up here instead due to high reviews. I’m so glad I did!! There’s plenty of parking and sitting area to dine in. The food was excellent and the smoothies were just the right amount of sweet. They really did a good job with seasoning and cooking the chicken for my bowl. The ingredients taste delicious and if you’re late stage pregnant like me try out the banana and date smoothie, so good!! The AC felt awesome and the lighting inside was the perfect amount. The cashier was nice and brought my food out to me after I ordered from the kiosk. The wait time was good for me, but during busy times you might have to wait a bit longer since there’s about 2-3 employees in the restaurant. It’s also located right across from a Publix which is convenient if you need to do some errands after. The prices are fair for the ingredient quality and quantity. If you’re looking for a reliable healthy quick spot to eat, consider SoFresh!
The store is brand new in the renovated/expanded Ortega plaza off Normandy. The vibe you get after you make your $15 quesadilla order on a kiosk is that you are now your own Uber eats driver. Surprisingly, the quesadilla was actually quite good. Waiting around on your phone with an entire restaurant waiting to deliver to their own houses. I appreciate that there was no interaction whatsoever with the staff so I could casually observe them from my well-lit corner. Interestingly, every bottle of sriracha on each of the four tables has been used in precisely equal amounts. These are the thoughts that you have at 20 minutes wait on the quesadilla. Eat fresh, live well.
Portions are getting smaller not worth the amount you are paying. Spent $16 for a few pieces of chicken and I paid extra for feta cheese and barely received any. Also ordered a Ranch but never received it. And each side sauce is .79, very disappointing to say the least.
Usually pretty good smoothies but this time it seems more like a chopped salad…not sure why the server gave me fruit salad at the bottom of my smoothie
