We really enjoyed our meal at Senor Loco Restaurant in Jacksonville, FL. It was right across the parking lot from our hotel so we could conveniently walk to it. We arrived during the happy hour timeframe so my Margherita was only $5 and it was delicious. Apparently they have live music 🎶, at least on a Friday night. They first brought out the chips and a nice hot salsa to go with them My hubby had a shrimp chimichanga with refried beans and spanish rice. He said his was full of nice size shrimp and very tasty! I had the shredded chicken chimichanga with the refried beans (so good) and the rice with a nice helpi g of sour cream salsa, and a mashed avocado. We enjoyed our meal and Jacki and Sam were our servers. All of the servers are friendly, so if in the area, try this establishment out! Also a lot out outside seating with family style tables inside and out with booth seating and tables with very nice chairs!
This was my first time trying señor loco and it was amazing! I got the Hawaiian taco and there were BOMB! My boyfriend got the California burrito and it was HUGE and delicious!! I also got the skinny margarita and it was probably the best margarita I’ve ever had. I only had one and I was feeling it!! The server could’ve been a little more attentive but I also couldn’t really tell who my server was. We had two people coming up to us. But the food and drinks made up for it! Also their salsa and queso are amazing. The salsa was actually flavorful unlike some Mexican restaurant. Also the bathroom was very clean and well kept!
I have been to this location a few times before. I decided to eat dinner here last night, being that I was in the general area. Parking was slightly difficult to find, being that it's a shared parking lot. In after having to wait a couple of minutes I did manage to find an available parking space. It was slightly crowded in there as well. The service was good this day as well. For dinner I decided to a steak with grilled onions, yellow rice, refried beans topped with cheese, and a tiny salad. That steak was grilled very well. The rice was fresh and hot. The refried beans had nice consistency to it. Overall, it was a very good visit. Whenever I'm in this general area again, I'll make sure I stop here.
Great Mexican food with authentic flavors and generous portions. Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and fair prices. Definitely worth a visit!
This place is fantastic! Seating was immediate. Food was fast and beyond delicious. House margaritas were $4!! Prices were acceptable. 8 Margaritas and 2 big plates was around $77. It was more than enough food for the 4 of us.
