We stopped at a place we haven't been in a LONG time: Secret Garden Cafe which is located at 10095 Beach Blvd. We split a couple of mimosa pitchers and I had the Patty Melt with Kettle Chips. The melt was decent and I'll circle back to it eventually but I'll try something else next time because I remember loving their breakfast options last time we were here. I LOVED the kettle chips and would get them as a side with anything else. Lauren had the Morning Grab Sandwhich. She picked sausage patties. She could get her egg done however she wanted so she picked fried hard. She could pick cheese as well so she picked American. She liked how buttery the croissant was and said it held up fairly well to the main ingredients. She really liked the breakfast potatoes for her side and said she'd order them every time. This is a cute little place and it's been too long since we stopped in. Emilie was a great server and she happened to be the same person who waited on us the last time we were here, well over a year ago!
The food and service were both excellent. The only disappointing part was seeing that the restaurant itself could use a little investment and refreshing. Simple updates like new silverware, fresh paint, replacing the water-stained ceiling tiles, and updating the menus would make a noticeable difference in the overall atmosphere. Our server, Emilie, was absolutely amazing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ She was attentive from start to finish—always ready to refill my drink, suggesting specials, and even offering to let me try the cheese grits before ordering them. I explained what I was looking for, and she went above and beyond to make it happen. The employees overall deserve 5 stars. Everyone was genuinely friendly and welcoming. Multiple employees took the time to say hello and ask how I was doing, which really stood out. Employees: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great food and genuinely great people. With a few updates to the restaurant itself, the overall experience could be even better.
The Belgian waffle was hot and crispy but nice and soft in the middle, came with honey butter which was really good. My friend got biscuits and gravy with a poached egg and bacon, which was also good. Our server was also super nice! Cute cozy decor and a friendly atmosphere.
Top 3 best bene I have ever had. Can't wait to go back and get it again! Cheese grits super tasty as well. Staff super nice, clean restaurant. ✨️
Pros: Food was delicious. It's a typical breakfast spot. Portions are nice size. Prices are affordable. Cons: I didn't mind finding my own seating but I stood in the front of dining room for a few minutes with staff walking around me before someone said it was self seating. They need a sign.
