Sandbar Amelia Island

Atmosphere is what beach days are made for. Choices of seating are indoors, outdoor patio, in the sand picnic tables with full menu/bar service and to knock it out of the park Adirondack chairs to relax beach side (no waitress service but can go get drinks at outdoor bar.) Food was delicious and did not disappoint. Will definitely return.

Took 45 minutes to get starters and that was with very few diners. Kitchen SLOW!!! Server was very nice. The warm pretzel was large and came with a cheese and a watery honey mustard sauce. Both were tasty everyone enjoyed them. The bowl of crab soup was not a hit. Three people tried it and not one liked it. Picture 2 shows how little was eaten. Not much to say about the cheese burger… but then Who goes to a fish restaurant and orders a burger? The shrimp platter had a generous number of fried shrimp. They were delicious. The fries were ok. I would order this platter again. The child serving of shrimp was good and the grands enjoyed them. Tots and tentacles were ok too as was the Caesar salad. The 6 wings were very good. Would order them again. Slow kitchen was a negative especially with young children.

I recently tried the Chicken tiki bowl at Sandbar Amelia Island, and while the ingredients sounded incredible on the menu: teriyaki chicken, five‑grain mix, crunchy noodles, field greens, caramelized pineapple, pickled red onions, avocado, roasted red peppers, hard‑boiled egg, and sesame seeds, the execution fell a bit short for me. The picture online looked vibrant and generous, especially with the caramelized pineapple, but I only received two tiny squares, which was disappointing since that sweetness is supposed to balance the bowl. The chicken portion also felt small for an $18 dish. I understand beachside pricing tends to be elevated, but the serving size didn’t quite match the cost. That said, I did appreciate having a nutritious, balanced option right on the beach. The bowl itself was comforting, fresh, and kept me full for a while, especially paired with the watermelon I brought along. The ingredients were clean and thoughtfully chosen, and I loved that it wasn’t heavy or greasy, which made it perfect for a beach day. Overall, it has great potential, but I wish the portions, especially the chicken and pineapple, matched the beautiful presentation shown online.

If there is anywhere you need to visit, its the Sandbar Restaurant at Amelia Island. The atmosphere is awesome, there is seating inside, outside, on the beach or at the bar. Service was great! Our server Summar, was so awesome and was always checking on us wverytime she passed by and even just as she was on her route throughout her shift, she was checking every table she had and never did I see her stop moving! She was hustling! Super friendly and considerate of everything! The food, well that's another worthy whole paragraph! It was totally 5 stars! Everything we ordered was awesome! I have to give it to the Sandbar! They have earned my business everytime we venture down there!
