The food is great. Very flavorful and good portion sizes. The coconut dessert is similar to tres leches but with coconut flavor and was really good. The sausage is unique and I'd recommend trying. The service is ok. Once they gave us our food it was difficult to get them back to the table but they were very nice. The music is moderately loud but you can talk. Overall, it's a great place and I'd come back.
We’ve visited on three separate occasions, and each time has been nothing short of great!!!. Their mint-infused water is remarkably refreshing and a perfect complement to the meal. On every visit, we’ve ordered the “Salento House” ($98; see photos), and it has consistently exceeded expectations. The spread includes plantains, fried cassava, beans, and rice—a combination that is both hearty and deeply satisfying. A word to the wise: the portion is extraordinarily generous. It is easily sufficient for four people, so if you’re dining as a party of two, be prepared to take home leftovers. 100% recommends!!!
If you're looking for authentic Colombian flavors and high-quality cuts of meat in Jacksonville, Salento Steakhouse is the real deal. As someone who appreciates a massive, protein-packed meal, this place absolutely delivers on both quality and portion size. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for an asado feast. Jada and I had a fantastic time digging into their menu. The lamb chops were exceptionally juicy with a perfect char, served alongside fresh grilled vegetables. The real showstopper, though, was the traditional skillet loaded with crispy chicharrón, tender steak, fresh avocado, and golden tostones. Every bite was packed with flavor. Whether you're eyeing the Cowboy Steak, the Filet Mignon, or one of their massive combination plates with ribs and chorizo, you definitely won't leave hungry. It’s an awesome local spot with solid service. I’ll definitely be taking the Kawasaki out for another ride over here soon. Highly recommended!
Food was good, but service was nothing short of indifferent. Our server checked on us about 3 times and was so indifferent toward making the dinning experience great. We noticed toward the midpoint of our meal water dropping from the A/C vent onto our table/plate, after 10mnts of waiting for our server to let him know his response was “oh okay”. And for majority of our meal I was eating at and awkward angle squeezing up on my partner because no one picked up the empty plates from the appetizers. On a funny side note from my husband: the toilet paper was also terrible.
First time in Jacksonville and this is the best place I have had my time here. My boss is Colombian and he would agree this place is super authentic. Heck most of the people were Latin, and you know when it’s authentic when the locals eat here.
