Rosy’s Mexican Restaurant

This place is amazing! During my move to Jax I was looking for good comfort food and I found it here at Rosy's. Katie was an amazing server and had such great hospitality. She made me feel right at home. The food was amazing. I got the beef burrito, enchilada, and tamale combo. It will not disappoint you if you like more traditional Spanish goods. They also serve soups on Sunday which I was also happy about because I was a little under the weather. You will have to ask for it because it is not on the menu. Overall, if you are in Jax, FL check out Rosy's for all you spanish food needs. SN: they make a great margarita!

I’m struggling because I really love the food at this place. But the last several times that I have ate here, I have literally waited for over an hour and a half. And today, it was 20 minutes before they took my drink order, and then it was well over an hour later and we didn’t have our food yet. Plenty of other people came after us, ate, and had left. When I asked our waiter about it, he said that our food was just now on the grill. But when we placed the order originally, he said it would take 20 minutes. So… I’m given three stars because the food is excellent but if you plan on eating here after church on a Sunday, go somewhere else. Because they’re not equipped to handle large groups. And to make matters worse, I got my food as I was writing this review, they messed up our orders! Ugh!!! I’m being generous by keeping this at three stars. I’m very disappointed in our service today. Again, great food, but service is lacking majorly!

No verde should have been a red flag. Not sure much actual cooking happens here as opposed to assembling stuff from a jar or box. Very plain but not completely flavorless. Definitely not homemade chips. Worst enchiladas I've ever had. Kids quesadilla was sad. Rice and beans were pretty bad too. I am completely dumbfounded how anyone could rate this place 4 or 5 stars. Its not even mediocre. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. 🤷‍♂️

I had a late lunch at Rosy's Mexican Restaurant yesterday at about 2:30pm. I got a Diet Coke with a little Sprite on top with complimentary chips and salsa right after sitting in my booth. Then, I asked for the Cheese Dip while I looked over the menu. I settled on the Chicken Fajitas lunch special. Everything I ate there was excellent. The restroom was clean and the service was prompt. The only reason for not getting five stars is the because Rosy's atmosphere is not exceptional. But, go for the food, service and cleanliness and you won't be disappointed at all.
