Me and wife went here for a dinner. I must say it has some of the best ambiance and very nice service. Our server Alex was extremely nice and friendly and helped me as much as he could to pick some food. For drinks me and wife had Lavender lemonade. For appetisers there wasn’t any much options for vegetarian they only had a salad option which I didn’t want to try. However for my entree I picked 3 of their side dishes like saffron rice, creamy spinach and mixed vegetables and made an entree of my own and had it.I must say it was nice. Overall it’s a nice place to visit but I would say there is no much of vegetarian options.
What an amazing evening here. First time visiting and we were very happy. We started out at the roof top and enjoying the wonderful view alomg with drinks and an appetizer, then went down to the restaurant for an amazing dinner. Everything was so delicious and flavorful. We enjoyed the ambiance so much. I highly recommend.
highly recommend!!! i took my son and his gf out for his birthday last night and throughly enjoyed our experience. we sat at the bar, we could’ve been sat right away outside but we enjoy sitting at the bar area. we were greeted immediately and got our water and first drinks very quickly. i had a cosmo, the son had a dark espresso martini and the gf had the adult swim. all of us enjoyed our drinks and they were perfectly made. i put in an order for the “bread board” immediately (the kid had a few shots already so i wanted something in his belly to soak it up😂) and an order of calamari. both came out quickly and we were surprised by the bread board. i am here to tell you…DO NOT skip this appetizer! it is worth the money! they will bring more bread and the left over butter can go home with you (and make incredible grilled cheeses!) the calamari was flavorful and crispy. (we did dig in right away before i took any pictures!) for the main dishes the kid got crab cakes and the gf and i both got the ribeye. we asked for extra of the blue cheese butter and they promptly brought that out. our meals were incredibly delicious and very filling! nice sized ribeyes and a good portion on the crab cakes. there were several side dishes to choose from and they were well seasoned and delicious as well (mashed potatoes, black eyed peas, collards and onion rings) we finished up with creamy espresso martinis and their version of cheesecake which both were amazing! if you have not been do yourself a favor and check them out. the 3 of us could not stop talking about what we will get when we go back. there was live music in their rooftop bar with plenty of seating. they even have brunch that we can’t wait to try!
Really enjoyed this place yesterday. I had a day off & came around lunch and it was my first time. I had the calamari appetizer and the shrimp po’ boy sandwich. Both were delicious. Great place for seafood. I sat outside on the bottom and had a wonderful relaxing street view. My waiter was great! Female hostess seemed to not be enthusiastic or welcoming, but maybe it was just a bad day. Overall I would say it’s great food and I will be back!
River & Fort: Refined Hospitality Meets Memorable Cuisine Restaurants can serve excellent food, but the truly exceptional ones create an experience. River & Fort accomplishes both with remarkable consistency. The manager, Katrina Harcourt, sets the standard from the moment guests arrive. Her professionalism, warmth, and genuine commitment to hospitality are evident throughout the dining experience. Attentive without being overbearing, she creates an atmosphere that is welcoming, polished, and effortlessly accommodating. Our server, Alexander, was equally impressive. Friendly, knowledgeable, and confident in every recommendation, he demonstrated an intimate understanding of the menu. His timing, attentiveness, and enthusiasm elevated the meal, making every course feel thoughtfully orchestrated. The cuisine was the evening's true star. The salmon arrived flawlessly prepared, with a beautifully moist, buttery texture and vibrant flavor that showcased the quality of the fish rather than masking it. The crab cakes were exceptional—packed with sweet lump crab meat, delicately seasoned, and perfectly balanced with very little filler, allowing the seafood to shine. Dessert was every bit as memorable. The bread pudding was rich, comforting, and indulgent, with layers of flavor that made it impossible to stop at one bite. The crème brûlée featured a delicate, glass-like caramelized sugar crust that gave way to an exceptionally smooth, velvety custard bursting with classic vanilla flavor. River & Fort delivers what every great restaurant strives for: impeccable hospitality, expertly executed cuisine, and service that enhances rather than interrupts the meal. Under the leadership of Katrina Harcourt and with professionals like Alexander guiding guests through the menu, River & Fort has established itself as a destination worthy of repeat visits. It is, without question, one of the area's premier dining experiences and earns my highest recommendation.
