I took my 1964 Pontiac to Rick's Mufflerman Shop because it had developed an exhaust problem which had not been corrected to my satisfaction, even after two previous mechanics' attempts to do so. I described the problem to Dave when I arrived for my appointment. Within minutes, he met me in the waiting area with the problematic parts in hand. He gave me a clear description of how he would fix it. Within two hours, I was on the road, delighted with the result, and totally impressed by the integrity, knowledge, and customer care which I received. The bill was lower than the estimate, because Dave was able to re-use a part instead of replacing it. This was a totally positive experience. I would recommend this shop to anyone in need of exhaust work.
Had my exhaust line break while on a road trip. A full repair would have take the better part of a day, but Rick was able to patch the system well enough to get me home. Extremely nice, extremely helpful, extremely patient as I was asking questions. I HIGHLY recommend this place.
Rick did a custom dual exhaust on my modified 34 Dodge pickup from the manifolds back. The price was right and I was in and out in one day. I was amazed how everything was done with precision and equal spacing to be symmetrical so as not to hit anything... no rattles at all. If you desire a dual exhaust for your hotrod this is the place.
I had a great experience at Rick’s Muffler in St. Augustine. Brandon and Dave were incredibly kind, honest, and helpful from start to finish. It’s hard to find people you can truly trust with your car, and they treated me with respect and explained everything clearly without trying to upsell me. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. I highly recommend Rick’s Muffler if you’re looking for honest service and good people.
I have a 19 year old Chrysler Town and Country van. My header pipe broke and needed immediate attention. I called my shop, Jim at Car Tech in St Augustine. He apologized and said his shop was the wrong place. He has been sending his customers for exhaust repairs to Rick’s (forever). I called and made an appointment expecting the worst (complete new exhaust system and parts needed to be ordered). To my delight, it could be fixed in about 1 hour, my flex pipe was broken! Perfect! Thank you!
