Margaret is simply a wonderful human being all around. An excellent therapist, counselor, and friend. If you are looking for a therapist who genuinely cares about their patients and creates a safe and comfortable environment to work through matters - look no further! She also healed her own traumas, so you're not engaging with someone speaking from only scholastic experience, but also some life experience as well. Don't forget to ask her for a La Croix when you visit! Highly recommend.
Margaret Bernhart has a gift like no one I’ve ever known. Her combination of empathy, strength, patience, compassion and understanding helped me travel a path I never thought I could successfully navigate. She provides support and guidance and exhibits grace, while teaching how to show that grace to others. She has an exceptional ability to assist in working through vulnerable feelings and memories in a safe way, and is always available when the need arises. Margaret is a treasure. Choosing to seek out Margaret was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and working with her gave me a strength I didn’t know I had.
Words can not describe the impact that Margaret has had on my life and on my marriage. She is not like any professional therapist Ive ever encountered. She operates as if she was put her on this earth for the sole purpose of helping broken souls. The care and empathy she demonstrates is beyond anything I have seen before. She has brought the best out of my wife and myself and has helped us heal together. I will forever be grateful and look forward to future sessions.
They do not make thank you cards big enough to express the gratitude I feel for all that Margaret Bernhart has done for me. She has been a lifeline and a safe space for me to work through my issues. She is an extremely skilled psychotherapist and unlike any I have met or heard of. She listens intently and caringly. She challenges and encourages me. She acknowledges my grief and shows me a way and a path through that hurt and pain and gives me the tools I need to not only survive through hard moments but to thrive through those moments too. She has equipped me with life tools that I will carry with me for the rest of my life, and she has helped me realize more with each session who I am and who I am meant to be. In just one year’s time, I am as content as I have ever been in my life, and that is in large part because of the work I have done with Margaret. I have a few nicknames for her. At times, I call her Mental Floss Margaret because she has this way of asking questions that I didn’t even realize I needed to address and her insights and commentary are so enlightening, challenging and spot on. I also call her Switzerland because Margaret is that neutral person, that safe person, that I can go to each week to express whatever is on my heart. And other times I call her a Soul Sherpa and if you are looking to go on a journey of the heart, there is no better soul sherpa than Margaret to walk alongside you to help you find your way with God at the helm. Not in short, I see a light now where I once saw sadness, obstacles, and grief. I found my smile again and Margaret was the person who helped me find it.
Margaret is an incredible counselor. She blends many years of experience, valuable insight, and quick-wittedness with a compassionate desire to help others along the path to restoration, both toward God and toward who we are created to be. Who doesn't need a little restoration? We're all fixer-uppers on the inside. Margaret is just the person to help--whether it is serious abuse, marriage issues, relational difficulties, or simply (simply?) navigating family dynamics--you will be met with kindness, wisdom, patience, and truth. I have gone to her in several circumstances over the last ten years and I wouldn't be the same person now if I hadn't; and I know others who have been profoundly affected by her counsel as well. Happy to give her the highest recommendation.
