  🚫 DO NOT book with Rendezvous ballroom at Ramada 🚫 I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this venue — and the owner, Samantha — was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I urgently needed a venue for a beauty pageant and came across Samantha through Eventcentive. I explained I’d have 20 contestants and around 50–60 guests. She assured me there was ample space and the venue could accommodate hair and makeup prep. I requested a video of the space since she wasn’t available to show it in person. I never received one, but eventually met with an employee (Monica or Monique) to view the space. The venue itself was underwhelming, but I didn’t have high expectations. I asked to see the room meant for hair and makeup, but was told the key wasn’t available. I was reassured again that the space was large enough — so I trusted them. Fast forward to the event day (Saturday at 8am): 🔹 The main area was uncomfortably warm— the thermostat was set to 51, but the room was already at 75 degrees. 🔹 Nothing was set up as agreed: only 40 chairs were out, no mic, no podium. 🔹 I called my contact, who told me everything was in storage and I needed to move it myself — and to be careful. She said she’d bring the mic before the event (which she still had to “find”). 🔹 The “hair and makeup” room was completely covered in mold, and the smell was overwhelming. It was totally unusable. With contestants arriving, we had no choice but to use a hallway in the back — which was supposedly free until 2pm. But at 11am, a bride showed up for her wedding and was understandably upset we were in her space. I was told by Monique earlier that we were fine using it until 2pm. Clearly, there was no communication. Meanwhile, the venue kept getting hotter — now at 77 degrees. I was told to speak to the hotel staff (the venue is apparently inside a hotel), who gave us two small fans blowing warm air. Nothing was fixed. This event was important to me and to the people attending — canceling wasn't an option. But this experience was completely unprofessional, uncomfortable, and honestly, unsafe (mold and heat). I reached out to Samantha, twice since Saturday — no response. I haven’t even received my deposit back. All I asked for was a partial refund and my deposit returned due to the poor conditions and false promises. At this point, I’m preparing to escalate this issue to small claims court, and I’m also trying to locate Samantha directly. 📢 Save yourself the stress. I do not recommend this venue or this company under any circumstances.
