I love Relampago. love everything about how they do things. I especially love their coffee. Will Spanish Street ever be the same without The Floridian? Probably not, but Relampago is holding it down. If you’ve never been, it’s summer, and all the parking spaces are open, so head down there, get you a cup of the reliable—and maybe an egg sandwich or a pastry—sit on the front or back patio and enjoy a book or conversation or people-watching. Finally: Relampago’s merch game is strong, so grab a hoodie and save it until December.
I’m so happy I found Relámpago! I’ve been in Palm Coast for 13 days, in from the Houston area. Of all of those days (minus 2 for travel) I made as many 45 minute drives into Saint Augustine as possible, my motivation being largely to stop at this coffee shop. The first time was a happy accident while walking by, the second to be sure this was gonna be my new local fave, and the third was to show my husband who came for a couple of days my new favorite local coffee shop. Every time I stopped in I got a cold brew, and for $5… are you kidding? You couldn’t get a cup of stale pot coffee for five bucks in the Houston area. In addition to the coffee being STELLAR, the baristas made the experience 100x better. I got a different barista for each of my three visits, and every single one of them made an above and beyond effort to chat and make my experience enjoyable. The third introduced himself as Allister (cool as hell) and as there were no other customers to serve at the time, he made the effort to have a great convo with my husband and I. Customer service and passion for coffee like these baristas have is super hard to come across and the vibes of the shop were overall impeccable. I can’t say enough good things about Relámpago, so if you’re reading this and debating trying it out, go see for yourself!
This was a great coffee shop tucked away. We got a cappuccino and latte and the baristas were very friendly. Sat outside and enjoyed the sun but the inside had a great atmosphere too. The food did not look particularly appetizing so I’d probably stick to coffee drinks here. We went on a holiday and didn’t find it to be too busy or feel cramped whereas other stores and restaurants did.
Delicious coffee and beautiful patio out back to enjoy in the sunshine! They were sadly out of cold brew the second time we visited (once in 2022 and once in 2025) but their coffee is yummy and the vibes are good!
The baristas were so nice & the coffee was excellent!! I sat on the front porch with my coffee, a book, and my dog. Wonderful place!
