Reggae Roots is hands down one of the best spots in Jacksonville! The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The customer service was amazing and the vibe made me feel right at home. Every single thing I tried was 5 stars — from the seasoning to the presentation. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to. Highly recommend!
Been trying to come to this establishment for years, but the hours that I work, I can never really make it finally was able to make it there on time. They close at six. I showed up at about 520. The doors were locked when the owner or whoever the guy was came to the door that he immediately came with an attitude cussed me out, told me that they were closed. Only thing I was trying to do is explain to them that I was trying. Spend money in their establishment, but the owner continued to berate me and cuss at me and reached in his waistband like he was gonna pull something out and possibly attack me and threatened to fight me I don’t think this is an alkaline place I think it’s an acidic place with acidic people. I would not shop at this establishment because these people treat you like crap. They do not have good energy and wouldn’t even take my business when I showed up 40 minutes before it was time for them to close highly do not recommend.
The food is well worth the 30minutes drive. My favorite is the jackfruit curry, absolutely amazing. One of the best food I’ve ever had.
This is one of the best vegan restaurants I've tried in Jacksonville. The food is so flavorful, and I honestly felt satisfied after eating my food. I am in love with the jerk Philly mushroom panini with a side of plantain. The restaurant is also super clean, and the service is top tier. This place is located near a salon I go to, so after I get my hair done, I like to head over and grab some lunch. This place sells herbal products which is nice is if you like to use homeopathic remedies. I bought a jar of sea-moss here. Fair warning that sea-moss tastes like the sea, but I felt good after taking it.
Flavorful food that is good for you! And the owner is a lovely human focused on his goal of nourishing the body and mind through food and education! I got the jerk lions mane bowl and you will NOT miss meat. I got the oyster mushroom burger to go for my boyfriend. Although skeptical at first, he was shocked at how good it was.
