Restaurant was nice had a nice homey feel to it. Food was good but my and my girlfriends entrees took over an hour to get to us after we had received our appetizer. Also for some reason one of the waitresses decided to stand on a table and make a very loud obnoxious announcement about another server being “awesome” which was kinda ironic cause the server she was hyping was ours and he was hardly ever checked in on our table. We actually had 3 different servers during our time there. Perhaps we just came at an odd time, it was Valentine’s Day, but the service was definitely lack luster. I’ll say one thing, the water server was on top of it haha he would come by every 3 seconds to refill so kudos to him.

A perfect restaurant! It really feels like you’ve stepped into a family restaurant in Italy. The owner, George is especially kind and friendly. It’s a different experience than any other restaurant in Jacksonville in the best of ways. Wonderful food, wonderful people, and a really special atmosphere. I had their linguine and clams and it was excellent…although everything on (and off) the menu looks great. We’ve celebrated my last two birthdays at Primi Piatti and can’t envision a better place in Jacksonville for special occasions. Six stars. Highly recommend.

After dinner at a nearby restaurant, we stopped here on a whim just for dessert, and ate outside since it was a nice evening. My husband ordered chocolate mousse cake, and I got tiramisu. Both were *excellent*. And both had the tiniest smidge of sauces on the plate that were so good, we asked about them, and were told it was a kiwi sauce and a raspberry sauce. So then we ordered a piece of ricotta cheesecake to share, and requested that it be *doused* in those sauces. And that was amazing too. The man working was super friendly, and actually ended up giving us the cheesecake for free!

Went back a second time. The owner seems to go out of his way to avoid any one black. Both visits I never saw him stop and speak to a black person as he literally stopped at every table. Will not repeat this location again but the other staff were still amazing. My first visit was a last minute decision for dinner. Beautiful atmosphere. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. We ordered the crab bisque, five cheese beef lasagna and bass. Both meals were delicious, and the flavors were not overpowering. The fish was tender and flaky. No additional seasonings were required. The star of the meal was definitely the real crab bisque. There isn’t words for how amazingly mouthwatering it was. I had to take some home for later.
