Absolutely Horrendous Experience Absolutely horrendous service on thousands of dollars’ worth of furniture. We have always loved the quality of this company’s products, which makes this experience even more disappointing. The delivery process has been a complete disaster. We were told a vendor that repeatedly failed to deliver was being fired, yet here we are still without a significant portion of our furniture. We are still missing two bedroom sets, an outdoor sectional, and a coffee table. We have spent countless hours dealing with customer service and the delivery department, repeatedly explaining the situation and trying to get a resolution. Despite all of that time and effort, we are still nowhere close to having our order completed. At this point, the lack of communication, accountability, and honesty has been beyond frustrating. I have never been one to write a negative review, but the level of disrespect and disregard we have experienced is absolutely disgraceful. After spending thousands of dollars, customers should not have to chase a company for the furniture they already paid for. I refuse to cancel the order. I want to see just how awful this company’s customer service and delivery process can truly get. At this point, I would rather pay triple the price to know I will never have to purchase another dime’s worth of furniture from this company. When a company takes your money and fails repeatedly to deliver what you paid for, it starts to feel less like a customer-service failure and more like theft. This has been an unacceptable experience from beginning to end. All orders are under my husband Joseph Lutz. Please do not say we haven’t purchased.
The store was clean, organized, and full of nice furniture and decorations. The workers were friendly and helped me find what I needed without being pushy. I also liked the quality of the items because everything looked well made and stylish. Even though some products were expensive, the overall shopping experience was worth it. I would recommend Pottery Barn to anyone looking for home furniture or decor.
I had a very disappointing experience at Pottery Barn today. I was in the store ready to purchase two floor-model nightstands. A sales associate was helping me and was about to complete the sale when another employee came over and said they had already been “sold.” I later learned they hadn’t actually been sold at all—someone had only verbally expressed interest in them. As a customer who was standing there ready to pay, it was frustrating to be turned away for someone who hadn’t purchased or reserved them. After leaving the store, I called back to see if that customer had ever called to complete the purchase. I was told they had not, but that they were expected to call within five minutes. The employee promised to call me back because I was waiting in my car and wanted to leave if they were no longer available. Twenty-five minutes passed without a call, so I called the store again. This time, the manager was extremely rude and dismissive. Instead of apologizing for the lack of communication, I was told they were busy and that the nightstands were sold, all with an attitude that made the situation even worse. What is most disappointing is that my entire home is furnished with Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, and Rejuvenation products. My husband was with me and witnessed the entire interaction. We’ve invested a significant amount in these brands over the years, so being treated this way was incredibly disheartening. It wasn’t just about the nightstands—it was about the poor customer service, inconsistent communication, and the complete lack of respect for a customer who was ready to make a purchase. This experience has left a very bad impression, and I sincerely hope Pottery Barn addresses how situations like this are handled in the future.
A lot of really nice stuff in the store. The store is clean and the staff is friendly, but the items are very expensive. We were looking for a set of flatware when we ask about it The lady sales rep told us that it was not in stock and would have to be ordered, and I told her not to worry about it I would order it online and she said, oh no, you have to let me order it for you. They've already shut down four stores and if you buy it online, the store doesn't get credit for the sale...wow
My whole house is Pottery Barn, from smallest things to furniture in every room. I went to the this store today with my child. Not only were the older women employees rude, had no time for my inquiry and they absolutely ruin the image of Pottery Barn. When I asked a woman employee a question, she ignored me, continued to speak with her colleague about something irrelevant. I raised my brows and stood there in owe. She did not want to help me at all, told me to call the "online" number. My child sat on the chair and was scolded by another elderly woman employee. These woman should NOT work with customers, appearing as if they're too good to even speak to a customer! Absolutely disgusting and appalling behavior. I will never return to this location again nor would I recommend to anyone
