I was extremely neglected as a closed adoption adoptee and I was not even assessed for learning issues until I was a teenager, however when Dr Philip Yates did my assessment he was professional and patient and did me absolutely no harm and was able to figure out that I had processing issues that were not my fault so that I was no longer punished or neglected as much where I was forced to reside as a child. He never knew my abuses I am confident he would not have allowed it if he had . It was the eighties and nineties so alot of adopters got away with horrible things back then and children didn't really have a way to safely go to adults like Dr. Yates back then. However he got me untimed testing and he put me on the right path to where I figured out what was actually going on with me. And because of his assessment I learned how to uncover and deal with some of my trauma.
The whole office is completely amazing. They are willing to work with your schedule and if you have an emergency they do their best to get you in the same day. I would recommend Dr. Yates to anyone that’s needing mental health management. He has offered great insight I’m dealing with children. I look forward to the advice that he has to offer no matter what I am dealing with at any point in time.
Dr. Yates was extremely helpful and thoughtful with my delicate situation. He made me feel comfortable and allowed me to be myself. His advice helped me through some of my toughest times in life. I would absolutely recommend him and his services.
Dr. Yates is a very wonderful Psychologist. He has helped my girlfriend in so many ways dealing with her personal and professional life. She looks forward to her appointments and she will come home and share some of the advice he provided to her. He also, lets her bring her kids, even me to her appointments if it is something she needs. It makes me happy to know that my girlfriend is getting the help she needs. I would recommend Dr. Yates to anyone looking for Mental Health.
Vocational rehabilitation chose him to redo my Evaluation and I never have felt more comfortable with anyone testing me. (And I’m 23 and have been tested a lot!) He is extremely kind, patient, RESPECTFUL and you can tell he puts forth effort in everything he does. He made sure I was comfortable and in a safe environment in order to help me relax and be less nervous so I could do my best. He also talks to you like a friend who is genuinely wanting and wishing the best for you. Which is amazing! :) Would definitely recommend.
