  I usually have a good experience here but today's appointment was disappointing. Upon checking in the receptionist Chelsea checked my insurance- this took about 20 minutes. She then said My son did not have insurance and we would have to pay up front ( approx. $100 for a check up). This was obviously confusing as I had just presented her with an in date, valid insurance card marked with his name. She did not seem to think this was enough and when I asked her to please call and verify she said " we don't usually do that" but to me this it seems a reasonable request in order to verify. In short it seemed that she did not want to do the work. Therefore my husband called and verified it within 5 minutes; she did not seem to believe me as she then asked for a "reference". He then called the insurance company a second time and was given a "reference" ( ie. the and time of the call and reps name) he was also advised they just need to call if they do not believe he has insurance. After this, we saw the wonderful Dr Sauer; excellent as always- she is personable and professional. After this appointment I was not charged so I guess Chelsea figured it out why she could not find the record , it would have been nice of she had acknowledged the inconvenience and stress her reluctance to help had caused but no such luck. Eventually we left the 10.30 routine check up at 11.45am. Thankful for my very patient 6 year old! Some customer service training needed on the front desk.
