Great First Stop in St. Augustine! Receipt displays 16 Jul 2025, 4:26PM. This was our first stop when we arrived in St. Augustine, and it set the tone for a great visit. There’s convenient parking, including 15-minute short-term spots as well as regular spaces. Just to the left of the parking area is a beautiful scenic spot—perfect for a quick photo or a relaxing moment before exploring the city. The Welcome Center is located at 1305 N Ponce de Leon Blvd, and the lady that was at the register couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. Plus her nails were really cute! She was very knowledgeable about the offerings and benefits. Inside, they also have a nice selection of souvenirs to browse. Highly recommend making this your first stop in the city!

They open at 9 am but we were waiting outside and the employees didn't open until around 9:10. The lady who was the manager seemed kinda rude by telling us to wait 5 minutes after 9 am. We wanted to get our day going by seeing St. Augustine. Other than that, everything else seemed good. If you get the trolley pass from them, you can get discounts on many of the other events in St. Augustine.
Robb was very knowledgeable about the whole area and the route that the trolley takes. He has lived in St Augustine for 54 years. We actually went to the old jail station and purchased our tickets from him the next day. The trolley tour was informative. It was rough riding with all the roads. There was a terrible storm that came up, thank God that the driver gave us ponchos, they were free. Don't sit in the front seats if rain is in the forecast! You will get drenched. Other than that, the trolley is the way to go if you have never been to St. Augustine! You can get off and on as many times as you need to. Be on the trolley at 4:30 that is the last pick-up.
Highly recommend spending the $36 for a full day pass to take the trolley around St Augustine. On a hot day it’s the perfect way to see a glimpse of all the historical sights & learn about the city on a deeper level. With the day pass you can hop on & off at any stop to stay longer and tour places of interest. Admission to these other sites is not included in the day pass ticket unless you buy a bundle ticket online or at stop #1. We spent some time at the Fountain of Youth, the Oldest Jail and Marketplace and Distillery. Each stop offers their own unique experience so there’s something for everyone (kids included). The drivers are truly the piece that makes the tour so fun as they are tour guides. No smoking or alcohol are allowed on the trolley itself however with all of the stops there are plenty of places to grand good & drinks. In addition, there’s a trolley about every 20 mins so the wait isn’t long if you decide to get off and explore.
I'm so glad I did this! I saw and learned so much more and it wasn't even expensive. Hopped on and off several times to get around and see everything. Highly recommend letting your last stop be the winery and then enjoying a blissful cozy wine filled ride back. Everyone was helpful from start to finish. Be sure to take a picture of the map with the stops and keep it handy on your phone. Check the weather and bundle up if needed, it was a little breezy.
