Odd Birds Cocktail Lounge and Kitchen

We had a reservation for Friday night and had dinner inside the speakeasy. The ambiance was perfect. It was quiet with only a few other tables occupied, so it felt intimate and relaxed. Even getting inside was part of the fun since you enter through a hidden bookcase. One of my favorite parts was the drinks. There isn’t a cocktail menu in the speakeasy. Instead, the mixologist comes over, asks you a few questions about what you like and don’t like, and then makes something specifically for you. We had four drinks between us and every one was completely different. It actually became a little game trying to guess what was in each drink before they told us. The food was great too. They brought out pork rinds to start and those were AMAZING. For tapas we ordered the tequeños, tuna tostada, wings, and Media Noches Bites. Calling the Media Noches “bites” is almost funny because they were HUGE! 😂 We definitely ordered more food than we needed and couldn’t even finish everything, but we enjoyed all of it. Between the hidden entrance, quiet atmosphere, food, and having drinks made specifically around our tastes, this ended up being one of our favorite experiences in St. Augustine. It wasn’t just going somewhere for dinner and drinks. The whole experience was fun from beginning to end and I’d absolutely do it again.

The bartenders are well experienced and will have you smiling, with a handcrafted cocktail in your hand, in no time. The atmosphere is great, and the volume of the music is perfect for vibing and conversation. Which leads me to my next point: bring your wife, husband, date, friends, family, side piece, or main piece—I don’t know, whatever floats your boat! 😂 The atmosphere is great. Enjoy a drink and put a sock in it—or better yet, a Cuban sandwich. They serve Cubans too! Lord knows we can all use one after a good cocktail binge. Have a great day, peeps!

These are the best drinks I've ever had in my entire life. They ask you what you like and then create a drink for you based on your profile. The blue rum coconut concoction was literally incredible. The cucumber gin was phenomenal. Excellent excellent excellent. The presentation is so fun. What an amazing experience.

This was a really fun place for dinner. All of the food was good: Burger, arepa, gnocchi, and Brussel sprouts. The cocktail list was unique. The vibe on the outdoor patio was very nice. Overall, would recommend especially if you want to get away from the tourism of the city center.
