Angel took excellent care of us when we needed help with our riser/elbow that failed while we were in transit offshore. He answered our call after hours and thoughtfully agreed to help us solve our issue and get us on our way. Angel provided a written estimate and came when promised. He installed our spare and made certain we were good to go. Angel was courteous and professional at all times. We also appreciated the care he took while on our vessel. If you need a well qualified and dependable mechanic, look no further.

Top notch work by Angel on my vessel. I’ve found them to be extremely honest dependable and up front about maintenance and repairs. I’ve used Angel for all things boat related from my diesels to AC to freezer repairs and everything in between. Angel made sure my boat was in excellent mechanical shape before leaving on an extended trip. He followed up several times to check on me while I was underway to make sure everything was in great shape which meant a lot. I’d highly recommend Angel and his team without hesitation!
The service was on time and the communication was Amazing. Angel took pride in his work and showed up to our boat on time every time he promised. We were stranded in Jacksonville heading to Cancun Mexico because one of our engines sustained magor damage beyond repair. Angel helped us locate an engine in New Jersey where we were able to buy it and have it shipped to our marina in Jacksonville. Without his help, technical knowledge and as new owners we would not be back cruising our power cat to Mexico without his help. He coordinated the install, removed the broken engine and installed the new one on time and on budget. I could not believe it was possible as it was installed right off our dock. I personally own and operate five companies in Indiana. I'm in the home remodelling service industry and understand schedulling, ordering materials and customer service. Angel checked all the boxes of owning and operating a very professional mobile boat repair and maintenance marine business. As a repair was needed while in Mexico Angel did something beyond customer service. He agreed and flew to our boat in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico to finish the final computer upgrades on our new factory Volvo Penta D-3 diesel engine. Thank you Angel and North Florida Marine for once again coming to our rescue. You don't find this type of person often in life. Angel is not only a professional experienced mechanic but a fantastic, caring and kind man. Cheers to all your success Angel in life and in businesses. Randy
Do not do business with this company/Angel. He will charge you much more than agreed upon. I asked him to be up front and transparent so there would be no surprises. Unfortunately, there were surprises and dishonesty. He threatened to keep my boat if I did not pay the additional $400.00 that he decided to add on. If you decide to use this company, Do not do anything without a formal invoice as he will say it was just an estimate and charge you way more. Sketchy! I was hoping Angel would have the audacity to reply. I will address the lies and dishonesty and what actually happened with this transaction. When I took my boat, I explained that I needed a service and wanted to get the water pump replaced if it was needed as I noticed it was leaking. After a few texts and asking for what each service was going to cost so I would know what I would have to pay I did receive an invoice. I had to call Angel to get a clear answer to the costs. I asked Angel if he offered a cash discount. He had the option to say yes or no. He said yes but did not tell me what the discount would be. So I asked a couple of times what the cash price would be. Once again I had to call him to get a straight answer. He told me to take off the tax, credit card fee and 10% from that total which I thought was commendable. I paid him $3,000.00 cash to start and the final payment was supposed to be $1,805.01. He forgot about a gauge that I asked him to replace so once he got that in and replaced it, I assumed another $200.00 roughly but he said I owed another $600.00. He said I needed to bring him $2,400.00. When I questioned the $additional $600.00 he seemed angry and said he would meet me to get my boat. He then came up with bogus excuses for the additional money that he wanted me to pay. He said he had to put gas in my boat to do a sea trial. This was a LIE. My boat had just under 1/2 a tank when I dropped it off. He then said he needed to charge me for a new belt. Another LIE. I literally changed the belt before dropping the boat off with him. The belt may have had 10 minute of use on it. He said the belt he replaced would only last a year due to the rust on the pulleys. This was another LIE. There is zero rust on the pulleys! I asked him how long my NEW belt would have lasted and he said he doesn't have a crystal ball. He had a crystal ball for the belt he replaced mine with though. They are exactly the same belts! He was searching for excuses to charge me more that he agreed to. Honestly, if he had the decency to contact me and say he made a mistake with the AGREED upon discount price, I would have been okay with that. He did not do this. He just demanded the newly inflated charge or he was going to keep my boat. This is when I said that if he tries to keep my boat, I would have to get the police involved. By the way, He said I was a jerk from the beginning because....I simply asked for what the costs would be for the services. He also lied about the trim tab gauge. I informed him that I could just install the trim tab gauge unless there was any programing/calibrating to be done as I had never replaced one before. I decided to let him install it because he said There could be some calibration. He never said I could do it and save money. (That is another LIE). Also, everyone reading this, Lets say there was no gas (Which was a LIE). What sense does it make to put in $100.00 worth to do a sea trail. This alone prove the dishonesty a BS Angel spews. Really sad because I truly want people to succeed and do well. Lastly, I never wanted to go through this bad experience and I surely do not want to spend time writing a review. My intensions is to bring light to the dishonesty and potential issue you may have as a customer.
These guys will fiddle around for 2 months “troubleshooting” while running up a 180.00 per hour bill. My bill came out to 7500 which I negotiated down to 6500. Make sure you negotiate!! The most mind blowing thing is Angel returned and removed the new distributor he installed (which they eventually figured out was the problem) because he forgot to list it on the invoice. Now I’m having the same issue that I just spent 6500 on. This is the most petty, unprofessional move I have ever heard of. Then proceeds to tell me the reason my boat is running in limp mode is because the bottom needs cleaning. I’m not a mechanic and even I know that is stupid. 6500 bucks later and I’m still in limp mode and dealing with a distributor that moves around and knocks it out of timing. The also broke my dip stick (replaced) and oil cap, left trash everywhere, and grease all over the place. How this guy responds to my post will show you his level of professionalism They also charge ridiculous additional fees like travel, mileage (which is tax deductible), shop fees, even had a charge for shop rags hahaha. A few words of advice: - Get a quote on the total price for work, including how much time it will take. - Check your bill often - Have them check in and out when on site - Negotiate your bill
