Truly exceptional! This is some of the best sushi I have ever had. They also make incredible cocktails. My husband is not big on Japanese food like me - he’s picky and has a bit of a simple pallet, but there were some good items on the menu for him to try and he truly enjoyed everything he tasted. We ordered: - Snap Pea Blossom Cocktail: perfection! Expertly balanced flavors. I loved that they broke the cocktail menu up into categories like “bright and refreshing” and “tropical and exotic” etc. I told the waitress I wanted something less sweet from the bright and refreshing list and she suggested this drink. It was beautiful and delicious. - Truffle Fries: truly delicious in an unexpected way since you wouldn’t expect truffle fries (or really any fry from a Japanese spot). They were perfectly crispy and piping hot. Great truffle flavor, not overdone and not too salty like some places. Hubby loved them! (This is the one thing I forgot to get a picture of) - Tempura Tiger Shrimp: these were massive and the shrimp was unbelievably fresh and succulent. However, this is the only menu item I have any criticism for because the tempura didn’t seem like it got fully cooked and it didn’t have as crispy of a texture as I would expect. That being said, the shrimp itself was so good and I was enjoying everything so much that I chose not to discuss with the server. Based on the service we had and observed while there, I have no doubt that had I mentioned it, they would have taken it back and cooked another serving for us. - Gyu Don: my picky eating husband loved this and practically inhaled it! - Kabuki Salmon Roll: delicious! Perfect salmon, excellent sauces drizzled on top. I asked for extra tobiko and they happily provided it for me which made it even better because I love tobiko. - Seaside Lobster Roll: this was seriously the star. The lobster was so perfectly prepared and cooked. And the krab salad complemented it so well. The wasabi dressing they make is not an overpowering wasabi flavor, just a perfect balance of flavors in this roll. I can’t say enough about it. We visited on Saturday last week and I am already dreaming of returning!!! Nomu will definitely be added to my eating out rotation.

Food was amazing. We ordered a variety of things from the menu and nothing disappointed. Service was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. Our first time and I'd say after trying many sushi places, we would say Nomu is the best in Jacksonville!! Can't wait to visit again!!!

We’ve been here a few times 😂 We love this place! Great atmosphere and staff. Reservations are recommended because they are fully booked most nights. But they offer seating at the drink bar, or sushi bar that is first come first serve availability! Definitely try the shrimp skewer! (Or any other, they have a window you can watch them cook them from your seat). You can also earn points which has gotten us free food! I don’t have a photo of everything but highly recommend: Edamame, truffle fries, miso glazed Brussels sprouts, yellowtail jalapeno, (staple) miso creamy udon, (!!!) chicken teriyaki don, Kabuki salmon roll, (my go to), Emperor’s crunch roll, Black river roll (his go to), Trio no maki roll, Shrimp tempura roll, Unagi roll, Masunosuke (King Salmon) hand roll They have a breville espresso machine and a full bar! But we always opt for Sake. (We order one and split it) Since we have come for special occasions, we have gotten to try some of their desserts as well!

Best sushi we’ve had since we left Tokyo! It was so delicious! Unfortunately they didn’t have hot sake, but they had so many other interesting options. The reason why I didn’t give 5 stars for the food, was because I had the matcha tiramisu and was a little disappointed. The matcha seemed to be of a poor grade and the mascarpone creme had a bit funny consistency. Nevertheless, we will definitely come back to this place, if we’re ever around the area again
