My dog, Wicket, had a parathyroidectomy here. He also has epilepsy. The special care given to him during his surgery and recovery was amazing- I thought Wicket had a seizure about a week after the surgery (after hours of course,) and I called Nassau Vet Specialists to let them know and Dr. Linden called me right back because he was still in the office and helped me through it. Dr. Walker got Wicket’s medications straight after the surgery and he is doing amazing! Everyone was incredibly caring and attentive and I can’t recommend them enough.

Dr. Walker and his incredible team saved my Lola girl. I truly can not say enough wonderful things about Dr. Walker and his staff. Everyone was genuine, kind, caring, and compassionate. They kept me up to date during her hospitalization and did everything possible to provide her with the very best care. Never once did Dr. Walker rush through our calls or appointments. He explained everything carefully and in great detail, as did his nurse Jenn. I only wish I had found them sooner!

Great staff and very knowledgeable. The place is very clean and organized and all the staff are extremely polite and helpful. My 14 year old jack russell was diagnosed with lymphoma and Dr Walker helped me to get her chemotherapy treatment right away. He explained everything in detail and showed a real focus on providing quality of care for my sweet baby and is knowledgeable. Dr. Miller took over the case and was extremely helpful, thorough and showed a real passion for the work she was doing with my pup. They extended my baby's life to give me an additional 4 months with my baby. If I had to go back and do it all again I would do it in a heartbeat. Thank you to the staff at Nassau Veterinary Specialists! They are amazing people who provide quality care to the pets they assist. Highly recommend.

Our first encounter with Dr. Walker was after a late night emergency visit with our sweet girl Molly. She had been struggling to breathe and had fatigue we thought was from the summer heat. Likely heart failure. We needed a cardiologist. Fortunately, Nassau Vet Specialists had recently opened in our area. Our appointment was scheduled quickly. Dr. Walker examined Molly and was able to provide all testing immediately. He spent a lot of time explaining test results and treatment. He is kind, personable, caring and an expert in caring for dogs like Molly - with heart problems or those requiring complex care. The office is state of the art which is nice, but Dr. Walker and his staff are outstanding! Oh, and Molly has improved on her treatment so much you would think she was a pup again!!! We’re grateful.
