Great experience with the SNAKE 🐍 show today! Lots of kids and families joining the presentation today. What a beautiful place. So happy we have somewhere the kids can have an interactive experience other than sitting on a device. Thank you!
Disappointed in the treatment of adults using the space. I stopped by this library to do legal exhibit work and quietly set up near a small display. A staff member arrived after I’d already been there and immediately spoke to me as if I were trespassing or being disruptive, even though I was quietly working alone. I use libraries up and down the coast for public work related to family law. This was the first one where I felt treated like a threat instead of a guest. Not recommending this location for adults doing professional or civic work.
The GPS took me all over Yulee and in many small neighborhoods. Never found the library. There is a lot of road work going on so may be that had a lot to do with it.
Today the Yulee Public library gets 1 star. The library is closed. NO POSTED HOLIDAY HOURS! The recording also indicates its open. Drove 8 miles 1 way to use the public library. I went 2 weeks ago. Come to find out the card reader does not work! Cash only! Ridiculous! Not wasting anymore time or gas!
Read this before going! 1) This is a small library. There is only one librarian. So it is closed for his/her lunch break for one hour everyday (check hours before going). 2) It is located on a college campus (FSCJ Nassau) therefore they also have to close the library whenever the campus also closes (e.g. spring break). For specifics, look at the academic calendar or call before going. 3) There is a book return box in FSCJ parking lot that is always available regardless of closures. Until the library receives it's own building, it is subject to these restrictions. So stop whining and support the library!
