MSBC San Marco

This is our second time coming in and it is fantastic. We order the squawking goat, which comes with chicken biscuit pepper jelly and goat cheese. Also ordered a side of waffles and fried green tomatoes. Every time we come to Jacksonville this is one of our go to spots to eat breakfast at.

This was hands-down one of the best breakfast experiences I’ve had in a long time. I ordered the waffles and a berry mimosa, and both were absolutely incredible. You can genuinely taste the difference when food is made fresh in-house, and every bite reflected the care and quality that goes into their menu. The waffles were perfectly prepared, and the berry mimosa was the perfect complement to breakfast. I’m not even exaggerating when I say I almost cried over how good the food was. My boyfriend tried to stop me from going in the kitchen and giving every single staff member a hug and a praise speech! That’s how impressed I was. I mean good LAWD! Beyond the food, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the entire experience felt thoughtful and well-executed. If you’re looking for a breakfast spot that delivers freshness, quality, and flavor, this is it. We’re on vacation but I can’t wait to come back!!

Worst update ever…to echo what others have said, this place has gone downhill. The place inside feels so stale now with the weird corporate office vibe. I was hoping the food would still be good but there is lack of flavor in everything we ate except the sausage gravy and biscuits. The green tomatoes has no seasoning in the fry and the size has been greatly reduced over the years. Overall, would probably not go again.

The service was fast and friendly. Atmosphere was nice and quiet. Unfortunately that wasn't enough for me to overlook the food wasn't good. Ordered the extreme biscuits and gravy with spicy sausage. The gravy itself was overly salty. The biscuit was very tough and hard to cut. Ordered my eggs over easy but received them crisp all around the edges and not the "runny" of an overnight easy cook.
