Great local joint. The server, Holly, was great and very prompt. Food came out fast, hot and delicious. Exactly the breakfast experience I was looking for.

We came in for lunch and were disappointed. The place seemed sort of run down and although not filthy it sure could be cleaner. The server was nice but took her time getting to us to get our order. Once our order was in it took a very long time to get our food considering it was not busy at all. I ordered a medium-rare burger and fries. Burger was cooked so hard and dry it basically had no taste, it didn't even come with cheese, maybe you have to ask for cheese? I only ate a couple of bites of the burger. The fries seemed like potato-mix fries you get at a fast food place and weren't worth eating. Wife ordered shrimp and grits (I think). You can see in the picture it looked like a bowl of slop, I didn't taste it but wife said it was disgusting and didn't eat it, she ate a few of the fries but that was all. We got tired of sitting there and had to ask for the bill so we could leave and go get food somewhere else.

Visiting Mrs. Carolyn’s was a wonderful experience, from the moment we walked in, we felt so welcomed, and the staff was so friendly! Our breakfast was delicious, I ordered the hollandaise scrambled eggs with potatoes, bacon, a side of sausage and pancakes, and my husband ordered the corn beef hash with fried eggs and potatoes, everything was seasoned to perfection!! When we’re visiting in the area, we definitely will stop by again, we highly recommend it! 🤩🍳🥓🥞🍞☕️
