Dr. Fernandez has been a joy to speak with! She has been incredibly helpful and understanding. Even in turbulent circumstances, such as accidentally forgetting to make an appointment, she dealt with the situation with understanding and applied generosity and magnanimity, caring more for the individual than a few dollars. Dr. F also strives to understand and link cultural similarities between her culture and my own when we spoke, which helped build nice rapport. I would recommend Dr. F, she is empathetic, patient, and accommodating. She also was willing to give advice on something brought up in a session that she readily admitted wasn't her specialty but would do her best, so add professional to a fault to that list.

Dr Fernandez is great! She is attentive, very empathetic and accommodating all throughout. I enjoy having sessions with her as she listens intently and caters to my needs. All in all a wonderful therapist!

Dr. Laura Fernandez is an amazing therapist who has over the past 8 months not only helped me get out of a massive depression but also helped me discover new sides and aspects about myself I would never have seen/realized without her help. Highly reccomend her to anyone in need of mental support and/or therapy.

I have over 15 years of experience with mental health professionals and this has been by far the worst experience I’ve had. I was never given much guidance or direction. She made lots of comments about being dismissive of other’s needs regarding her services. My grandfather died and I forgot to notify her as I had to fly out of state on short notice, I notified her of course of the extenuating circumstances at the time of our appointment when I realized I had let that fall to the wayside. She immediately brought up there being a fee which is very inappropriate at the time when it should not have been addressed until our following appointment. I apparently then missed our next appointment which was the day after my grandfather’s services and was traveling home by airplane from out of state and again it had slipped my mind. I do not even recall receiving it as I was in such a disassociative state. Instead of practicing any kind of professionalism or compassion. She did not reach out to me at all to follow up- instead she canceled over 10 appointments and when I reached out the day of my next appointment once life had settled, she then casually and with no sympathy stated she had canceled all my appointments and dismissed me from her practice when arguably i need it the most. She kept making remarks about how I did not agree with her policies when it simply had everything to do with grief and being forgetful. I had never missed an appointment. There were more than a few times when she had asked me last minute to alter our appointments and I was always flexible with her and even an instance when her small child was present in the background of our session which was awkward and strange as hell but I agreed as we all have complex lives. She does not show the same flexibility and only cares about the money. Unprofessional isn’t strong enough of a word. I would avoid and find help elsewhere because when life throws you a curve ball- she will not understand and make it personal. She has a very thin skin.
