I asked for a physical and was booked for a different kind of appointment. Upshot? They say I was billed for the services rendered. What? They say the doctor went over my medical history, and he wouldn't have with just a physical. Say what again? I guess if it's a physical, they don't review your medical history. That doesn't make any sense! I mean if you're healthy, you go to the doctor one time a year for your physical. You mean to tell me after not seeing a patient for a year, the doctor is not going to review your medical history? I'm sure he's got a great memory but not that great. Also if you have any little nagging issues it's also not a physical. What? So I guess it's only a physical if you sit down and shut up while he listens to your heart and sticks his ear gadget in your canal, and then you move down the hallway to have your blood drawn and pee in the cup. That doesn't feel thorough to me to be honest. So here we are ... They aren't going to change my billing. I'm out of pocket an unexpected $252 and I was expecting a bill for nothing. Be very careful! Ask what coding they are using and what you can address with the doctor, and check with your insurance regarding whether or not the cost will be covered or get stuck, like me.

The services I received from Stephen's family practice are second to none. They provide excellent quality treatment at each and every visit. The environment is welcoming and inviting. You feel valued, cared for, and truly loved. They really make you feel like family. The staff is friendly and ensures that I am properly informed about my health and care. A special shout out to Robin, who is such a pleasure and a blessing . She greets you with love and kindness and is her same unique sweet self all the time. If she was having a bad day, you would never know it by the awesome way she interacts with you. She explains everything and is kind and compassionate. Her personal touches and outstanding quality of patient care make her invaluable. She is lovely to speak with, and I make every effort to see and say hello to her at every visit. I would not recommend Dr. Martin based on the experiences my family members had under her care. During her tenure at this office, we encountered numerous issues that made us question her professionalism and commitment to patient care. Appointments often felt rushed, with little time given to fully address concerns or ask questions. There were several instances where important medical details seemed overlooked, leading to misdiagnoses and improper treatment plans. The lack of communication and follow-up was concerning, especially when dealing with ongoing health issues that required closer attention. Additionally, her bedside manner was dismissive, and it often felt like our family members were just another number rather than patients needing individualized care. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience, and we ultimately decided to switch to another provider who values their patients' well-being and takes the time to provide thorough, compassionate care. If you're looking for a doctor who genuinely listens and prioritizes your health, I would suggest seeking care elsewhere. I will be reporting her to the board next.
