  Metro foundations did an okay job with my property. I chose the company to do some major foundation repairs and vapor barrier installation on my recently purchased home. 7 HELICOIL piles were installed all done correctly. 5 crawl space supports were also installed correctly. The reason I am giving them a 3-star review is because there was some miscommunication somewhere and ultimately the solution was not to my liking. The original AC unit and duct work was left under the crawl space by previous owners, and I had talked to the foundation specialist about wanting that removed when they did the vapor barrier install. Somehow that was forgotten or missed, and the debris was left under my house. This made the vapor barrier installation process less than Ideal and resulted in a patchwork style product which is not what I wanted for my home. I mentioned this issue to metro and the solution they gave me was to come back out on a separate work order and to charge me additional money for the new job. After the crew was finished with the remainder of the work, they used our trashcans for the trash they created throughout the project which was surprising to me because a part of the invoice and pricing was trash removal. They also left metal chunks in the bushes of the property that I found when accessing the poor clean up. Additionally, we were told that we needed to be present at the house for the duration of the project so that the crew could access our home in order to check elevations. They never came inside to do that and at the end of the project said I never had to be at the home for them to do their job. In total I was charged 20K for the whole project and left with a solid foundation but more work that needs to be done to my crawl space. I have taken the trash removal and rework of the vapor barrier upon myself at this time. The foundation specialist that I talked to when I got my quote was awesome and very professional, He was the main reason I chose metro for the job. The workers seemed like they did not care about the work they were doing. They did not communicate with us at all while working on the home and often left early or showed up late without notice. It took the crew an extra day to finish the job than what was agreed upon and did not notify me of the change in plans. If I was to use Metro again I would just triple check the work that is to be done and make sure all parties are in agreement of the work to be done. At the end of the day, we are all human and miscommunication happens all the time.
