What a fantastic experience: the food, the service, the ambience. Incredible attention to details. Our server, John, took great care of us. The wagyu and escargot second course were the highlight of the dinner with the focaccia bread. We had duck and Bronzino entrees wich were accompanied with delicious sides and sauces. The flavored cream brûlée with espressos and a complimentary prosecco for our anniversary really made our evening. This has been one of the best meals we’ve had in Jacksonville. Thank you to the whole Mathew’s Team for a fantastic anniversary dinner.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. I can't recommend it enough. We have done the chef tasting menu four times and we are never disappointed. I can't say enough about our server Peter. He is absolutely fabulous. I told him I was going to rave about him on my review so here it is. He knew his menu, his wine selections and went above and beyond to make sure I had a perfect birthday celebration. Of all the service I have had he will by far be one of my most memorable. Thank you for keeping a smile on my face the entire evening, and that's not just the wine and bourbon talking. We truly loved this whole experience. The food was amazing, the restaurant is beautiful and service was top notch.

I had an amazing anniversary dinner at Matthew's Restaurant last night. We had delicious and unique cocktails before we were seated. We ordered the 8 course tasting menu and were seated at counter in front of the kitchen. Chef Brittany took great care of us. She was happy to answer questions and chat about ingredients, flavors, and preparations. The wine pairings were delicious and well planned. The service was excellent. Every bite was delicious. We were treated to heirloom tomatoe carpacio, sea scallops that melted in my mouth, a very unique preparation of escargot, squid ink pasta, fork tender chicken, luxurious pork chops, and we finished the meal with cheese and Madeleines, and cheesecake. We were given a menu to commemorate our dinner. I'd definitely return to Matthew's for another special occasion meal.

Matthew's delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences we've ever had. We chose the chef's tasting menu, and every course was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and absolutely packed with flavor. The octopus was perfection. It had an incredible, meaty texture that I've honestly never experienced before. It was tender without losing any bite, and it's one of the best octopus dishes I've ever had. The porchetta completely stole the show. Somehow the chefs managed to capture all the rich, comforting flavors of an incredible bowl of pho and infuse them into one perfectly cooked piece of pork. It was creative, unexpected, and unforgettable. What truly set the evening apart, though, was the hospitality. We were celebrating my wife's Rookie of the Year award, a huge milestone in her career, and the entire team went above and beyond to make the night special. They surprised us by having the staff sign our tasting menu with personal congratulations, creating a keepsake we'll treasure forever. Outstanding food is one thing, but combining world class cuisine with genuine, heartfelt hospitality is what makes Matthew's exceptional. Thank you to the chefs and the entire staff for helping us celebrate such an important moment. We'll be talking about this dinner for years, and we can't wait to come back.
