“Eat local, stay local” Josephine and Jarvis were both so welcoming and lovely. I’ve wanted to try this spot for a while and I’m so happy I did. My fiance and I got the Loco Moco and the Fiesta Platter with Kalua Pork. The kimchi was stellar and the pork melted in your mouth. We also got a mango refresher with passion fruit which was very nice. The pork lumpia was crispy and I could’ve eaten a whole plate of them. I can’t wait to be back- it’s truly a local spot that loves its community and neighbors.
Not from Jacksonville, FL but we come every year or two to visit; looked up some Filipino food and this restaurant popped up of Filipino-Hawaiian fusion. The people that worked here was friendly and very helpful. The food had great taste, HOWEVER, I was very disappointed at the size of the BBQ sticks I ordered of chicken and pork each. For $5 for 2 sticks, they could’ve put a little more meat on the sticks, and the short ribs had great flavor but was just too tough for my family and I to chewy, it was overcooked and mostly contained bone unfortunately. Everything else we ordered was on point though, just those I mentioned had flaws that could be easily fixed. Mac salad, fried chicken and Chamorro empanadas were my favorite.
Their food is very good but the main dish portion is little bit compared to the rice and macaroni salad but don’t get me wrong food is very good. Also bought the beef and vegetables lumpia and spam musubi they were good as well.
The number of times I’ve ordered from here is crazy, but it’s SO GOOD! I’ve eaten in person maybe 2-3 times, but it’s just as good when ordering delivery. My go-tos are the beef lumpia, loco moco, and island-style short ribs. Everything is delicious, and it is one of my favorite places to eat. Everyone needs to try here!
The food was good, but the short ribs amounted to about 2oz of meat. Just 4 razor thin slices for $14. And I was sold a refresher lemonade without being told that it was $8.
