Adorable little place with a calming atmosphere, and clean and refreshing decor. I probably asked a million questions and the staff was super friendly and helpful the whole time. Everything is made fresh in house, and their materials are all top quality so it is a bit on the pricey side. Totally worth it if you are after fancy and fresh! The only thing I would have loved to see would have been some gluten free options.
My husband and I came here on the recommendation of a native Frenchwoman who works at a museum in St. Augustine. It was lovely! We arrived around lunchtime on a Friday and had no trouble finding seating for two. There was parking in their lot, but based on traffic at the time, we just parked in the lot next door. The seating is more close quartered than an average American coffee shop, but that is more like how you would find it in a European cafe, and we felt we could easily have a conversation without either having trouble hearing each other or being overheard. The atmosphere is very clean, bright, and airy. I ordered a cappuccino and le pain aux raisins, and my husband ordered the Le Croque Madame Marie (a ham sandwich with egg). All was delicious, especially the fresh brioche bun for the sandwich. My only regret was that I didn’t get to try their croissant to compare to the ones I have had in Paris. They are popular as one would expect, and I arrived late in the day. Their main chef and owner Jérôme was away in Paris, but it seems like Mathilde (also Parisian) has things well in hand in his absence. **We learned that the cafe is awaiting permits to use glassware, so be prepared to enjoy your coffee, etc in paperware and salads in disposables. I’m sure the experience will be all the more elevated once they can serve on dine-in dishes, but even so the staff’s personableness and passion shine.
We decided to try this spot after passing by it. We noticed it was a new place. The almond croissant filled with almond paste 🥐 was absolutely delicious!!! The twist au chocolat and bombolone plain was very good. The Saint Tropez pineapple and yuzu drink was refreshing. Highly recommended if you want a small cozy spot that sells delicious food. I wish there was more seating available as I'm standing writing this. That's a good sign though because the place was filled with people enjoying an awesome French meal. Can't wait to come back here!
I came here after seeing all the 5-star reviews and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The chocolate croissant and eclairs instantly reminded me of Paris, the taste was so authentic and delicious. I also got a latte which was really good as well. What made the experience even better was how sweet and friendly the owner was. You can really feel the warmth and care that goes into this place. Definitely worth visiting if you’re looking for amazing French pastries and coffee!
The salmon and spinach quiche was crustless and perfectly baked. The flavors complemented each other without overpowering. The salad was very light and dressed in a crisp dressing that elevated the flavors. The cappuccino was amazing. I love the dish and the cup. Only thing I would say, consider using metal utensils instead of plastic to further elevate the experience. I would highly recommend this establishment for the food and the drink! Plus The staff is very friendly, they welcome you when you walk in and explain everything in detail. Background music is just the right volume as well
