I found Alyssa at a critical moment in my journey to free myself from crippling anxiety. After some use of CBT, which was helpful, we moved over to EMDR therapy. This proved to be the pivotal tool in my healing process. In just a few months, my anxiety has gone from an 11 to a 4. Due to my move out of state, I have to move onto a new therapist, but I would most certainly stay with Alyssa if that were not the case. I highly recommend her for any of your therapy needs. She is a gentle, good listener, and has a wealth of tools at her disposal.

I have been seeing Alyssa for quite some time for depression, anxiety, and just other life changes... and there's a reason I've stayed with her for so long! She has an honest yet gentle approach, but she has also gone thru a lot of new types of therapy with me that I hadn't done before, even with years of counseling and therapy with many other counselors. She is knowledgeable, but in a humble way that makes me feel safe. I am also happy to have found someone who does EMDR! I would recommend Alyssa to anyone!

Alyssa is by far one of the best therapists that I’ve worked with as a patient. She is kind, caring, thoughtful, and extremely well educated in her field. What I love most about Alyssa is that she is always learning and staying up to date on new tools and techniques for us to use in our appointments, which I feel is a vital part of anyone in the counseling/ social work/ mental health industry. Her appointments are well paced, we never go through anything too fast or too slow together. Diagnoses are well thought through, triple checked, and thoroughly explained. And even when we discuss the lighter sides of life, she is so hopeful and encouraging. Sometimes the grass IS greener on the other side, but Alyssa will give you an extra hand to hop the fence and get there.
