I ordered the “Camarones Texanos”, and basically… you are paying $22.99 for a hole chopped up onion, a huge plate of smashed beans and a half head of lettuce with a spoon Full of guacamole and sour cream. It was a total of 8 regular size shrimp (Not Big). The presentation is actually good… but the taste of bacon overpowers the shrimp, the cream cheese, and the jalapeño. At the end you are just left with a taste & bite of crisp bacon. I honestly did not like this dish at all, after I almost finished, I started getting a stomach ache from the excessive bacon grease. I am sure there are other plates that I might like so I will give this place. Another try.
The food was really good and we got seated right away. Didn’t complain when we asked for more chips. Only bad things was that the service was a bit slow, but not bad enough to drop them a star.
My favorite Mexican in the area. My love of La Nops started over 30 years ago with their original location on Kingsley Ave in Orange Park. We moved away and now always try to stop when we're in the area.... the flavors have only improved!!
The rice was extremely dry and everything else tasted very bland. Our waitress was nice, no complaints. The atmosphere was a pretty decent however, sitting at the tables on the wall near the bar feels very cramped. If the food was better this place would be a decent place to come eat. The prices and portion sizes weren’t bad either.
This is the WORST place I've ever eaten at. The waitress was AWFUL- rolling her eyes at me, sighing and taking over 20 minutes to get me a fresh tomato because I was given a GREEN tomato that was even hard to cut. I asked for a tea refill and she came to take my glass! I said no thanks. Bring the refill to the table. She ran to the cash register and it looked like she was CHARGING me for a refill!!!! The food was awful. I'm so so so disappointed! The chairs for the tables are too short and the seats are EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE. Save yourself a bad stomach and go elsewhere. This place is BAD NEWS!
